I did something different. I don't gamble enough to get a comped room or a preferred rate.

First of all I went to Costco and bought Vegas.com cards. A $100 gift card for Vegas.com at Costco is $79.99 (while it costs $100.00 on Vegas.com). That is a 20% discount.

Next, if you book for three or more nights on Vegas.com, each of your nights is 30% off.

I booked for five nights, so I got the discount. I'm going with a friend, so we'll split the cost.

I stayed in September. The rooms were great and the staff exceptional. We ate at the Seafood buffet YUM, and Marinelli's (roof top restaurant) also terrific, if you want more info pm me and I will send you my Tr from the M. I had a 50 BOGO on rooms. 2 negatives they pipe in a god awful scent, it was strongest in the lobby, and they are a bit away from everything.

Did not stay there.Had the seafood buffet.I'm not a crab legs guy, they had that.I loved the bamboo mahai mahai, was excellent and they were serving it also the night before on the regular dinner buffet.Overall there dinner buffet has a very wide variety and very good quallity of food that I would recomend. The seafood night the line was quite long,be prepared for a long wait unless you arrive early. Both nights the buffet comes with free wine and beer also that you go and get yourself.
I stayed there in August and it was very nice. Free sodas and coffee at a self serve island in the casino made it comfortable. Good deli/bakery thing right by the elevators to your room. The staff was good and friendly, CW's came around quite often, even when I was playing penny machines. The buffet was good, but was better with a BOGO coupon we were given. There is a deli in the casino, I think by the sportsbook and right outside (walking distance anyway) is a Jack in the Box or Wendys, not sure.
Join the slot club, easy to earn points and little gifts like a bottle of cuervo, an M polo shirt, junk like that. It is a bit away from everything, about ten minutes or so from Mandalay, but it is a good, laid back casino. My wife and I both had luck there on the machines, her on video keno and me on penny slots. We were comped rooms in August and will be back next week with a BOGO room offer, costing about $35 per night, plus freebies everyday. The rooms were nice, reminded me of smaller versions of the Rio rooms for some reason, separate toilet, shower and bathtub. The bed was comfortable and the view was nice. This is our Casino of choice for now as the others have been slipping, Rio, Orleans, Venetian and even the Palazzo, where we were comped some nights but couldn't make a breakthrough on the machines.
M is great. buffet is nice, pool is quiet and nice(nice will be my word of this post), the beer bar
is great...sorry... where I played vp and ordered beer and shots comped without a blink. they give you
a good gamble for your $. Free giveaways of wine, shirts, etc. you are 10-15 minutes to the strip in
a cab if you want to go. M has a shuttle to the strip.

for the room I had a strip view which was, again, nice... no, it made me smile I liked it so much.

Instead of Harrahs in April, six of us are staying at the M after many, many years on the strip.

your questions.

yes, I went to Hostile Grape. I liked the wine cellar at Rio a lot more. Hostile Grape to me seems
like a punk wine bar atmosphere.

I told you about my room

Didn't go to the rooftop restaurant or the seafood buffet.

I think you will enjoy your stay.

They have a great sports book and the buffet is delicious. Rooms are pretty and have flat screens in every room. Heard nothing but good things about the place.
We stayed at M for the first time in August. Loved the rooms, the atmosphere and the gambling was pretty good too. Only ate at the buffet once for late breakfast/early lunch with our BOGO offer. Very good quality food. We also like the food at the Red Cup, or something like that, Cafe. Views of the strip from their are awesome. We hope to make that our home base from now on in Vegas.

We always get a car in Vegas, so the distance from the strip isn't a problem for us, but they have a shuttle if you don't want to drive.

I highly recommend the place.
I stayed there in December and LOVED it! I think their rooms are nicely appointed. The bathroom reminds me of the Salon Suite's at Palms. I thought the bed was very comfortable.

I only ate at the buffet and did so every day of my stay since you earn one quite easily with your play. Positively delicious would be my summation. I had both the regular dinner and seafood extravaganza on Sunday - EXTREMELY busy on Sunday!! I had a VIP line pass and the wait was still over 45 minutes to get seated.

The only bad thing...the drive. It really is Waaaaaaaaayyyyy out there.

The staff is top notch.

Have a nice trip!
