Madcat question of the month... I know I been out of the net for awhile....

I hate lines with a passion. I once spent an agonizing 20 minutes in line for $10 in free play at the El Cortez, which lasted all of 10 minutes once I got it...

The reg line was 30 mins+. The dinner line hardly moved after 20 mins and 100 in front of me so I left. The we had to be there 30 mins before our play time, got there and they screwed things up by letting people play who missed their time. So I had to wait and additional 30 mins before I could play. Then they wanted you back a gew hours later to announce the winners and that was another hour wait.

That is about the norm as far as I have experienced.

WOW,glad you told me that CC. I guess i definitely have no desire to do a tourney then. Thanks for that info.

Roller coasters on the other hand...thats a diff story(and my only exception),i'll wait on a good ride. Whats really great tho is when theres noone at the park and you can walk up to the ride.
We used to get season passes for kings dominion and i always spent a father/son day and hit the park. I swear you would of thought it was closed. We rode the front seats,or close,on all the big rides. Volcano, hypersonic, etc. We finally tuckered out on coasters about 2. We lost count of how many times we rode each one,but in the high teens-twentys per ride. Best coaster day and father/son day we ever had!

JOHN

PS the volcano remains the best coaster in the world, and trust we've ridden A LOT of coasters(family vacations)
I guess something for nothing is the attraction though I often pass as the wait just isn't worth it. For free stuff I will wait, if I will wait, perhaps 5-10 mins. My biggest peeve is wait time for restaurants, for these I will push it to 10-15 mins. tops.

Yea, but did you ever ride the coaster that was on the Brady Bunch?

OR did you leave a Yogi Bear poster on the canoe ride????

Life is too short to wait in long lines.
