Maddening New Vegas Fees

This, courtesy VegasChatter, is apparently a real receipt for a DRAFT Bud Light at Monte Carlo's new Double Barrel Roadhouse.

I would walk out and leave the beer at the bar. I really would. I can accept the $8 at an entertaining place like DBR if it includes sales tax. But those four additional lines are flat crazy.

DBR did later admit to VegasChatter that the automatic gratuity was in error. But still . . . .
And an 18% gratuity at that, for one beer. WTF is the "service charge" for???
How else would one get served a beer, without it being served...so now a service charge in addition to the price? That takes the biscuit.

Entertainment tax?

Maybe they hoped that somebody drinking at 12:20 am wouldn't notice.
Screw them!
The sales tax and entertainment tax are courtesy of Clark County, so if you believe that the auto-gratuity was an error and you're cool with paying $8 for a pint, you are ultimately complaining about...a 16 cent fee.

And it's the principle, right, because it sure as hell isn't the money. For me, since I typically tip 20% on the after-tax bill - for good service - their bill would actually save me a bit.

Is that the same receipt you get when you go to the downtown "Nudie bar, topless joint?"
Yes,there will be an entertainment tax.
I paid $14 for a pint at Cheri's Ranch ,last month. The barkeep needed more for the beer I ordered.
I put $10 more on the bar, and she took it ALL.
Bitch!
I guess all the added fees has worked well for the airlines. Now everyone else is trying their hand at taxing the piss out of everyone for everything. Great idea is a tax for using the restroom next?
Are the hookers adding a 10% entertainment tax for their services as well?
How about going to a theater to buy tickets for a play, and they charge a box office fee! I'd love to see the owner of the theater show up at his local grocery and have them charge a "cashier services fee". Maybe a flat $2 fee, plus 3% of all purchases.
Stubhub charges a fee to print tickets from one's own printer, but it is free to pick the tickets up at their stadium location.

That wasn't true for any of the four different sets of StubHub MLB tickets I purchased last month and printed myself.

Miami, Atlanta, Texas, and Houston, no such ticket printing fee.

StubHub has all their fees figured into the price of the ticket. If you buy a ticket for $50, all their BS fees are already included in the price of the ticket. If you buy more than five tickets in the same transaction, you get a small refund. I do this when the Cardinals have one of their giveaway nights. I try to find a listing with 10 or so tickets and go in and out the gate.
