Maimi Valley Gaming just opened recently (Dec) and I was there on friday. Located at exit 29 on I-75 south, it's likely the most interesting exit in the entire state of Ohio. You can:
Sin - Hustler Hollywood
Shop - outlet mall/Traders world
Play the Slots
Get saved - a church with a 50 ft statue of Jesus
Miami Valley Gaming is a racino (horse racing and casino) Getting there is a breeze and parking is right in front. The interior is nice and the players club is in the front just after you walk in. The signup promotion is $15 FSP and 5000 points (10k for the first level (w/in 6 months)) 1 point/$1 coin in The place was nice and clean and it wasn't too crowded for a friday afternoon. I won $50 on a penny slot on their dime, so I did ok for a first visit. I didn't checkout the eateries as I only stayed for the FSP. Besides it was snowing outside and I wanted to make it back just in case it got worse.
Horseshoe Cincinnati - I went down to unwind a bit and I-75 was a mess in down town Cincy, pot holes and traffic. The directions you get from the web site were just awful, not to mention the signs when you got into town. They were about the size of a double sized softball. One would think all of the time, money, and effort poeple put in to have a casino built down there, they could at least have decent signage to direct out of town people around. Once I found the parking garage it was easy to get around. The casino is nice and clean and they did take the effort to put the Total Rewards booth near the front entrance (from the parking garage). It's a full service Casino (slots/table games). I played mainly the penny slots and a dollar slot, I came away with $30 in my pocket. I checked out Bobby's Burgers and Margaritaville, both looked nice and clean and the prices were not too bad. Although getting used to $7.00+ for a burger just kills me. (I remember when one could almost feed a family of 4 for that at McDonalds) Would I go back, maybe, but I will be using I-71 as it is far easier to get to the casino.
