Maimi valley gaming and Horseshoe Cincinnati

Maimi Valley Gaming just opened recently (Dec) and I was there on friday. Located at exit 29 on I-75 south, it's likely the most interesting exit in the entire state of Ohio. You can:

Sin - Hustler Hollywood
Shop - outlet mall/Traders world
Play the Slots
Get saved - a church with a 50 ft statue of Jesus

Miami Valley Gaming is a racino (horse racing and casino) Getting there is a breeze and parking is right in front. The interior is nice and the players club is in the front just after you walk in. The signup promotion is $15 FSP and 5000 points (10k for the first level (w/in 6 months)) 1 point/$1 coin in The place was nice and clean and it wasn't too crowded for a friday afternoon. I won $50 on a penny slot on their dime, so I did ok for a first visit. I didn't checkout the eateries as I only stayed for the FSP. Besides it was snowing outside and I wanted to make it back just in case it got worse.

Horseshoe Cincinnati - I went down to unwind a bit and I-75 was a mess in down town Cincy, pot holes and traffic. The directions you get from the web site were just awful, not to mention the signs when you got into town. They were about the size of a double sized softball. One would think all of the time, money, and effort poeple put in to have a casino built down there, they could at least have decent signage to direct out of town people around. Once I found the parking garage it was easy to get around. The casino is nice and clean and they did take the effort to put the Total Rewards booth near the front entrance (from the parking garage). It's a full service Casino (slots/table games). I played mainly the penny slots and a dollar slot, I came away with $30 in my pocket. I checked out Bobby's Burgers and Margaritaville, both looked nice and clean and the prices were not too bad. Although getting used to $7.00+ for a burger just kills me. (I remember when one could almost feed a family of 4 for that at McDonalds) Would I go back, maybe, but I will be using I-71 as it is far easier to get to the casino.
Ok, pretend I haven't been in Dayton for 10 yrs..Which exit is 29 again? :0

Lebanon.OH, just before the rest stop going south.

Been a while, but pretty sure I know where you're talking about.

Chefantwon. The next time you come down just take I-75 again and follow the signs to I-71 N. Take the Reading Rd. exit and make a left at the split, a left at that light, and a left at the immediate light and you will see the casino right over the hill. Once you take that Reading Rd. exit all the rest happens in a matter of yards. Its a very easy way to get there.

By the way, that burger at Bobbie's was great wasn't it? You should try the onion rings. They are the best anywhere by far. Binion's Steak is very nice here also I would recommend it too.

Did you order a drink? Drink service is usually freaky fast here. $4 beer on the casino floor higher at Binion's.
As close as they are to me, I haven't been to either place yet. I have a Total Rewards card from my visits to Horseshoe in southern Indiana and Tunica, MS, but haven't been to those places in at least 4 years. Just been sticking with the 2 riverboats that I prefer along with occasional Vegas trips.
It'll be interesting to see how the Indiana Casinos on the border will fare now that Ohio citizens have their own.

I work just off of 71 and came back that way. Next time I'll use it instead as it was much easier of a drive.

I didn't have the rings, and I didn't see but one CW while I was there, however they did have a drink order button right on the slot machine.
