Make America sick again??

Tax "subsidies" are funded with other people's money,a typical Socialism program run like a Ponzi scheme hawked by the lying Obeyme and praised by idiots.

PJ & company continue to pretend the titanic isn't sinking. Even the CBO is admitting that obamacare is increasing the deficit. Not factored in are costs in administering these programs. Most of the exchanges have gone bankrupt & the premiums have double digit increases.

Premiums have not gone down under Obamacare - but they have slowed their inflation rate. SO take that for what its worth. I wont defend it. If you're argument is pre-2009 healthcare was cheaper then I'm happy to point and laugh. - NOT FUNNY FOR THE PEOPLE PAYING INCREASES. WE WERE PROMISED THT PREMIUMS WOULD GO DOWN & WE COULD KEEP OUR DOCTORS, BOTH OF WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE LIES

Fact - 10 million people on the expanded Medicaid went from paying 100% of their medical bills out of pocket to having that program do it. SO yes - they've saved money...and received better healthcare. - YOU DO REALIZE THAT THIS COSTS $$$$

Fact - every senior citizen that buys prescription drugs has seen their bills drop by $2k a year and counting thanks to the donut hole closing. SO yes, they've saved money. -MORE THAN OFFSET BY CUTS IN MEDICARE ADVANTAGE & MEDICARE REIMBURSEMENTS

Fact - every uninsured, able-paying person with a pre existing condition went from paying 100% out of pocket to now paying for an insurance plan. So yes, they've saved money WHO SAVES MONEY, NOT THE GOVT OR THE TAXPAYERS. DID WE NEED A 2,000 PAGE LAW & 10,000 PAGES OF REGULATIONS TO ACCOMPLISH THIS?

And taxpayers save 10 billion a year in Medicare fraud recovery. And the deficit is reduced by an estimated 325 billion over 10 years. And this is true even after 6 years of Boilerman promising the program would blow up the deficit. So in addition to saving taxpayers money - it also foils yet another of 100 Boilerman's predictions. - SHOULDN'T THE GOVT BE DOING THIS ANYWAY? WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH OBAMACARE?
If there was a point in that drivel, all caps wouldn't be necessary.
The caps identified hoops responses, helpful for the reader.

He should have insulted somebody or told us how wealthy he is. I'm sure you would have approved.

Obamacare did not deliver on premiums....and neither did the system you want us to go back to. And your ability to keep your doctor is controlled exactly by the same insurance company networks that were in place before too. So in neither of your gripes, did Obamacare make your life worse. It just made you more upset. Ask someone close for a hug and you'll feel better.

Republicans are too cowardly to articulate their plan so we can only go by the abstract talking points they make to reporters as they get off the elevator. "Crossing state lines" and "increasing HSA accounts" will not lower your premiums or guarantee you a permanent doctor. And now that Republicans are in charge they'll have to come to terms with that. And so will you, Hoops.
Time to start with a clean slate. Democrats and Republicans working together to really make healthcare affordable. No more completely partisan votes. No more 'pass the bill to read the bill'. Work together for the American people.

Unfortunately, that ain't gonna happen.

It also presumes that by virtue of bipartisanship you eliminate special interest influences....and that might be the biggest obstacle of all to overcome.

Since our political system is so open to corruption from corporate money...and that's not going to change anytime soon... this fight should be pursued by the special interest groups that are corrupting it. I can understand why Pfizer, UNited Health, and providers want to get as much money out of the public as possible. I don't understand why Coca-Cola, 3M, and Ford Motors are content to pay more for their employee benefits. I wish there would be more push from the non-healthcare sector to pursue healthcare cost reduction reforms. It would help their bottom line and mitigate the stranglehold the healthcare lobby has in DC. Put one group of scumbags against the other. It might be the only way.

That would be nice, but Republican leadership will not introduce legislation unless the majority of their party members supports it.
That allows a small minority caucus within the party to have an oversized influence.

Democrats will and should make the public completely aware that Republicans are sending us back to the stone age on healthcare....and their big replacement plan the've been referencing for the last 6 years is nothing but a flat out lie.

Like Chuck Schumer said...Republicans are the dog that caught the bus and now they have no idea what they are going to do with it. Make America stupid again.

Why don't you wait until their plan takes shape and the public is told what the new plan is before you just trounce it outright ala forky.

It's hard to believe ANYONE is defending O-care in it's current form at all. I'm with you and think everyone should have healthcare of some sort, but damn, the thing's a disaster.
