As has been discussed, sourced, and repeated a million times on this board. Republicans were given 50% representation on the committee to create the ACA which they promptly abandoned amidst townhalls of furious tea-partiers (like LVFritz) who were livid about the idea of Republicans working with Obama on anything.

So Democrats moved forward without them. Good for them.

You wont be seeing Paul Ryan or Mitch McConnell offering that kind of olive branch to Democrats. Good luck GOP. If you break it, you buy it. And please make your bill under 1000 pages with lots of pictures so tea-partiers can understand whats in it.

Presently the plan is "causing the working man to go broke" so I am not so sure what they will do to make it worse.
Can't break what's already broken. As usual, PJ paints with a very broad brush. Did I want my representatives working with Obamanation? Hell no, the man is an idiot and a proven liar. PJ (and billyboy too) if you haven't noticed, there is no working 'with' Obamanation. After all, 'he won'. Payback is a bitch, isn't it?

Some time ago, the wealthy Billy mentioned the name of one of his NYC "clubs". I checked, and it was much more of a townie bar in New Jersey that went belly up years ago. Apparently the term "club" is used more liberally on the East Coast than it is in the Midwest.

Isn't New Jersey considered "flyover country" by the East Coast elites?

Yea, Cliffy is always letting us know how wealthy he is yet part of his income is dependent on AP play and now he's getting subsidy's. Go figger.

Yes, I take subsidies, just like Donald Trump. I thought you defended his right to do so.
The law says the only thing that counts is your taxable income. Don't you believe in following the law?
Part of my income comes from AP play because I enjoy playing in casinos, not because I need the money. I didn't move to Vegas to make a living. I moved here because I enjoy playing.

So now it goes from 'dependent as part of your income' to it's because you like to play. Gotchya

When did I ever say I depended on gambling as part of my income? I don't know anyone who depends on gambling for income. Even folks like Bob Dancer who have won millions tell you never to depend on winnings. One of my closest partners ended up down three hundred grand playing BJ in 2016, after several great years. I finished the year down a couple thousand in video poker but made it up in blackjack.
No smart gambler plays with money they can't afford to lose, thus they aren't dependent on it.
I'm beginning to see why ,although they all seem to have memberships in the LVA,very few APs post here anymore.

No- it's just stupid and bad for the country...and you spell out the problem perfectly. The drive to kill Obamacare has nothing to do with improving healthcare in this country. It's just a movement driven angry tea partiers to stick-it to liberals because they are furious Obama was able to accomplish anything during his tenure. Trust me when I tell you my feelings aren't hurt by your vitriol.

I largely dont use Obamacare as I get insurance through my employer....don't have a pre existing condition....or have any prescriptions. My life wasn't impacted significantly by the ACA's passing it won't be significantly impacted by it going away. I just give a shit about making positive steps forward.

And that's really he biggest obstacle congressional Republicans have now. Their mandate from the loudest voices in their base is to get payback for LVFritz and his constipated buddies. It's a great platform when you're out of power.....it's disasterous when you have to actually govern and put forward real solutions. Good luck
Here's a thought. Have a citizen suggestion program to tweet new ideas that reduce healthcare costs. Top 100 tweets get cash prizes. Everyone gets a participation ribbon.
Lol, it's not the goal PJ, it's just a convenient by product. Obeymecare was a lie from day one....and now the adults have to clean up another liberal mess.

Two more weeks....here's hoping the fool in charge can't do too much more damage. He will do more damage, I'm just hoping it isn't too bad.

PJ is largely correct here, minus any snide comments, it's time to work together not get revenge.
