Mandalay Bay construction

Has anyone stayed at Mandaly Bay lately? I was reading a lot of bad reviews about staying there. People talked about the noisy, dusty construction, bad service etc. I have been offered a couple of free nights but don't want the hassle if my stay will be troublesome. I am even thinking that is why they are offering rooms to nobodies like myself. Thanks for any info.

We stayed two nights last month with no issues at all. They were working on the Delano at the time but our room at Mandalay had no noise or issues. The restaurants, gambling floor, etc. were the same as ever. If they have just started something at the actual Mandalay it wasn't happening when we were there.

I stayed in January and took the time to write that the staff was extraordinarily nice. I had a remodeled room and it looked great. I'm guessing it was the Delano (formerly THE hotel) that was being worked upon. They did major changes to every room in tower. Mandalay Bay is one of my favorite hotels for the price and the beauty of the property.
