Mandatory everify or billions for a wall

Should the current administration work to mandate everify for every business with criminal penalties for employers for wilful evasion or build a wall. The former would remove the magnet that attracts illegals overnight. Within months many illegals would self deport for practical reasons. The latter will cost a lot and there seems to be doubt about its effectiveness. This seems obvious on its face so why the wall?
Politicians Complicate the issue.
Everify for work and rent, then no govt benefits for illegals.... Then start the wall. Problem solved.
It really is a good question but I think it's been resisted by corp.'s and the ruling class, they love their cheap labor. A wall prevents people from just walking in but more importantly it will slow the flow of drugs into the US, well hopefully it will at least slow it some.
Is the "wall" a real physical wall or it is it a euphemism for tightening up borders and cracking down on illegals flaunting the laws.

Aside from it being impossible to build a continuous wall along the border, an unmanned wall won't stop a determined person.
Just this week, a huge catapult was discovered on the Mexican side of the already existing side of the wall. Between tunnels and ladders, you'll still need patrols. Enjoy paying for it.

China can complete a 5500 mile long wall 400 years ago over mountainous terrain, and it's impossible for America to do so today. Why are Liberals so willing to lie in order to advance their agenda? Never trust a Liberal.

"We must build the wall so we can find out where it is going to be built." (Nancy Pelosi)

Hmm, . . . perhaps a moat would be better, filled with alligators.
It could be privately managed supported by revenue from the sale alligator leather goods.

PETA will jump in for the inhumane treatment of the gators. Actually I hope PETA will "jump in".
Donald Trump said Mexico will pay for the moat.
