Manning to Denver? tebow?

I'm surprised that there hasn't been a thread to discuss the Manning to Denver possibility. Or maybe the mods are quashing any discussion.

Guess although Elway was completely behind tebow last season he doesn't think that tebow is the qb of the future for denver. To me he is really sticking his neck out, if they get Manning and Manning doesn't produce they might run Elway out of the organization. I doubt that they would keep both qb's with their highly paid salaries on the roster but maybe for the first year they might keep tebow just in case Manning doesn't pan out. It's all a crap shoot, nobody knows how "healed" Peyton is and if he is a bust at least they have tebow to go back to.

I dunno, I think Miami would be a fit for Manning. At Denver there will be tremendous pressure to produce quickly. At least at Miami expectations aren't as high because Miami doesn't have all the cogs to be a title contender, whereas many feel that Manning will be the final cog for Denver to be a contender.

Where does that leave tebow? If Manning pans out then they can trade him but not sure which team would want to pay his high salary.

Win or lose, Tebow puts fans in the seat$ and that is the bottom line for a lot of teams.

There will be tremendous pressure to produce quickly wherever Manning goes. He only has a few more years left to play. The only reason I can see Manning wanting to play is to get a second ring to tie his brother. He's not going to want to play for a mediocre team or a team that is a few years away from challenging for the SB.

Manning can be in the booth if he still wants to be part of the game. He's got to be better than Theisman.
The "problem" with Tim Tebow is that nobody thinks he is the "quarterback of the future".

DonDiego likes Mr. Tebow. He enjoys watching him play, . . . and win. And DonDiego, at least, opines that Mr. Tebow is genuine in his religious devotion , . . . and respects him for it.

But, any team which employs him would likely have to, . . . as Denver already has, . . . redesign the entire offensive scheme around him, because his skills and weaknesses are unique.

Anyway, DonDiego has been ill the last coupla' days and watchin' the NFL Network as free agency arrived yesterday. One bit of speculation is that Jacksonville is interested. Jacksonville has the second worst problem in the NFL filling their stadium; Cincinnatti is worst. Mr. Tebow grew up in Jacksonville and won two national championships and the Heisman Trophy at Florida, whose Gainesville campus is an hour and a half drive from Jacksonville.

Tebow would absolutely put fans in the seats there.

DonDiego opines that Peyton Manning will choose either Denver or Arizona. Miami just traded their best receiver for a couple of 3rd round draft picks, . . . not a propitious sign for the arrival of Mr. Manning.

DonDiego assumes Mr. Manning has enough money that it won't be the deciding factor. If he wants to win for a few years, he'll choose Denver with a stout O-line and decent receivers. If he wants to live out his remaining player-days playing indoors and golfing on his days off he'll choose Arizona where he'll find a porous O-line and one outstanding receiver.

According to the Denver Post- "Tebow's cap figure for 2012/13 is $2.239 million (including $670,000 in base salary). So the Broncos can afford to keep Tebow and still give Manning the blockbuster contract that will be required to sign the only four-time MVP in NFL history."

Based on the Denver Post quote above the Broncos will not have two highly paid QB's on the roster. Keeping Tebow around would be cheap and easy.

those who know me know I love me some Peyton Manning. I only started watching pro football after Peyton got drafted. I have been debating which team I should be a fan of in the future.

Should I go with whichever team Peyton goes to? he will only be there a few more years.

Should I go with the closest thing I have to the home town team? The Titans. They had just barely arrived in Tennessee when I started paying attention to the pro game. I think they were even still called the Oilers then.

There is a possibility that I may not have to decide between these 2 options.

as much as I would love to see Tebow pushed aside, I am cautiously optimistic that Peyton Manning will finish his career in a Titans uniform

Denver bronco Fans: We want Tebow! We want Tebow!

Elway: umm, hey, so Peyton manning is coming for a visit

Denver Bronco fans: Tim who?
I think Elway and Fox really want Manning, but I think Manning will end up at Phoenix.
nope. not phoenix.

A) he doesn't want to potentially play his brother in the playoffs.

B) the Cardinals weak ass offensive line will get him killed

It's between Denver and Tennessee

ANY body has to be better than thiesman, the only one worse than him is madden and it always seems its one of those guys who cover the steeler games. At least with thiesman i can at least laugh at him, madden just makes me sit there the whole game, thinking he just cant get any worse, then he does. I'd turn the volume off but then you miss out on an aspect of the game.

Tim Tebow and his mania made the NFL fun and interesting for me and many others. He saved John Fox's job and made Stephen A. Smith eat his words. I really enjoyed seeing Tebow shred and beat the Pittsburgh Squealers. Each game was a must see- you never knew what would happen, and for several games what happened was surreal. Wherever Tebow ends up playing, it will be interesting. I feel that Manning would be foolish to pick a team with a suspect offensive line. He can't afford to get roughed up.
