Manning to Denver? tebow?

P.S. Not teeing off on 51. I just think there needs to be a place for character in sports, but so many fans are just way too inclined to let it pass.

John Phillips' column in the April issue of Car & Driver about NASCAR and the aptly named "Busch Babies" is worth a read.

?? Are you making comments about Peyton Manning's character?
Jesus, Karen, no.

I like the SF idea, but if the possible hiccup isn't NFC unfamiliarity rather more potential matches against his brother shouldn't he just go to the CFL?

I think the character of Tebow is important, unless maim-for-bounty is a noble trait to be possessed by professional athletes.

Hey quit picking on me!

Character counts, nobody want to root for a team full of scumbags. These days when I find myself rooting for an athlete that turns out to be a great human being, I am pleasantly surprised.

Some people that post here think the character of professional athletes has been on the decline since Jackie Robinson was allowed to play MLB (there are some serious racists round here). IMHO it has more to do with cell phones and the internet. Nobody and nothing gets a pass these days, can you imagine what the modern media would do to Babe Ruth?

It's great when a quality man like Tebow does well, except for this part:

Tebow is not an NFL caliber QB. Sorry to all the Timmy lovers, but it's true. With the proper coaching, and in the right environment he could develop into an NFL QB (I hope he does). As a fan of the NFL I find it depressing that America has invested so much emotionally into one real nice guy, that just isn't ready for prime time. It is sad, but I know there is a percentage of "fans" that want Tim to succeed because he is the anti Vick. Religious, white, and by their standards "All-American".

I root for Tebow because he works harder than everybody else. Black, White, Christian, Muslim, .... whatever.
UPDATE***UPDATE***UPDATE

__The Arizona Cardinals no longer seek Mr. Mannings services; they have retained Mr. Kolb.

__The Miami Dolphins no longer seek Mr. Mannings services; Alex Smith of the SF49ers is talking with Miami.

__The Tennessee Titans remain in the running with an offer of a job-for-life to Mr. Manning. 89 year old owner Bud Adams seeks a Super Bowl ring ASAP.

__The Denver Broncos (apparently) remain in the running; no news is, . . . well, . . . no news.

__The San Francisco 49ers remain in the running; see reference to Alex Smith, above.

DonDiego would prefer Mr. Manning remain in the AFC; over the next four years the beloved Philadelphia Eagles will only face the Broncos once in 2013 and the Titans once in 2014.
The Eagles will face SanFrancisco in 2014 and could face them in 2013, 2015, and 2016.

DonDiego is rooting for the Titans and Mr. Adams!

Come on 51, we here in southern Ohio have our own team of thuggery.

The Cincinnati Bengals.

Although I do agree that Tebow is not ready for the "big" leagues.

Umm, . . . of course, a DonDiego endorsement is usually the kiss of death.

I'm hearing rumors he's going to the 49ers...Yippee! Only problem is those mostly rumors I'm starting on the 49ers message board.
