Well, the trip began Monday 7-14-14

Plans called for a brief stop at Samstown Shreveport for the first stop.
We had lunch and played a few slots for an hour or so. +$

Plans change as we discovered we were passing what we had planned for our fourth stop in Opelousis LA The Evangeline Downs Race track just off IH45. It quickly became our second stop. As we approached the Casino/racetrack we thought the building looked just like a warehouse. But once inside it is like brand new. Casino is in the center nicely laid out, big bar in the center of that. Foods locations showrooms etc around the outside. It reminded me of the Margaritaville design in Shreveport LA. We ate ate the café (great waitress) and got food to go too. Good food!!

Second stop(Now the third stop)was to start the trip with an overnight at the IP Biloxi MS. Having not been here before we were pleasantly surprised. We were provided a suite. Magnificent, probably 1500 Sq. Ft. Great rooms living, dining, wet bar in a huge room. Guest bathroom there. Huge king bed master with really big bathroom with juccusi bathtub, large shower two sinks three TV's. A total of 5 TV's in the suite. This was on the 30th floor.

The casino was kind of disjointed in design, I thought. The non smoking casino was on the second floor. The big 1st floor casino was chopped up by walls. The IP is truly a resort destination. The food in the was great ***** with nice presentation. Nice shops too. Played a few hours on the slots here.
Text We played the slots, +$ here too (total $ at end of report).

Day two... we drove to The Treasure Chest in Kenner LA. It turned out to be a steamboat Casino. Had breakfast there good food. Usual slots. Typical boat casino in a kind of out of the way location. The boat had only one $5 blackjack game and it was a table full. The other open BJ games were $25. So I didn't paly BJ.+

Second day second stop, Amelia Bell Steamboat Amelia LA. Typical boat casino. Food was ok, presentation was nice for a buffet. Wife Laura, the big gambler, played the slots again. I just didn't have the feeling so played very little. $+

Third stop was to be Delta Downs Racetrack in Vinton LA, almost to Beaumont TX near the Texas border. We stayed the night here in a king room (Handicapped room) as the other kings were already taken. The casino is like brand new looking. All in a huge room nicely laid out. The high limit room is in a glassed in area. $+
This stop was the big winning stop. Laura hit the major payout on Outback-Jack. I made $175 on Cashman (who lived up to his name.) I had at one point been down to $5 of my starting $200. Played a long time.

Interesting to note that there were NO poker machines here. Also no table games.
I guess the Racetracks have some restriction on which games that they can offer in LA. I missed not playing blackjack.

Laura final total was + $1335. I was +$175. Can't beat Slot dollars, food and rooms!!!. Thank you Boyd!!!

Our only real expense was gas and car wear and tear for 1320 miles driving. We averaged 41.5 MPG. It is a 2013 Lexus Hybrid (gas/electric), I love this car!!!

Edited to add: Laura was the big winner this time and was kind enough to give me $200 of her winnings for my next gambling trip. What a wife!!

Thanks for reading!!
Glad you and the wife had a great trip... share the love
