March Madness (2012)

Does anyone know the dates for March Madness (2012)?

I will not be able to book my next trip for (5 days) until the March 15 - 25 timeframe. If all goes well and it is March Madness - I am going regardless! Just want to be prepared for a bit more commotion.

It will be whatever the weekend days are.

The SEC men's tournament is March 8-11, 2012 so that would suggest the main part of March madness (excluding the play-in game) would start Thursday March 15th. Have fun, I've heard it's a great time to be in Vegas.

It is a great, albeit busy, time to be in Vegas. I'm going back this year with a group of friends and can't wait (booked my room today in fact). In the past it has always been the first round of the tourney was on Thursday/Friday (15-16th this year). I don't remember how they are doing the 'first', ie 'play in', round, but I'd assume you'll definitely see action those days. Keep in mind that in addition to the tourney and St. Patricks day (one of the best days of the year to be in Vegas), many colleges are on Spring break March 12-18th. Prices seem reasonable now, but you'll see em sky rocket as it gets closer.

Thanks to all of you - I cannot imagine not having a good time in Vegas - no matter the crowds, etc.
