March Madness

My buddies and I are going to Vegas for the first weekend of college baskerball's March Madness(March 22 - 24). Does anyone have tips or ideas about the best place stay? Watch the games? We're looking downtown as there is just more to do in short distances than the strip, so I'm more interested in happenings downtown. All comments are welcome, however!
All the sports books will be showing the games. Downtown the Golden Nugget might be your best bet. One thing nice about downtown is you can shop for lines in a short walking distance.
The great VegasChatter blog has now posted its Guide to March Madness Parties, check it out!
Why has AC not posted his March Madness info yet??? Starts in 2 weeks, and we are trying to make our plans. Please. Thank you.

The LVH (formerly LV Hilton) still has the largest sportsbook, with the most screens. Ceasars is also very big and nicer.

The LVH may have some specials - check their website; stayed there 2 weeks ago and it was nice.
Because AC doesn't have sports betting....yet. When they do, they'll promote the heck out of March Madness!

Best times I ever had watching the Tourney was at LVH.
Here is a bet suggestion....

Take the four #1 seeds as a 4 team parlay on the money line for the 1st round game.

A #1 has not lost a first round game since the NCAA went to a 64 team format. IMHO this is a no brainer. The odds won't be great, but even a 2-1 payout could be very profitable.....AND IT HAS NEVER LOST!

Best performances by #16 seeds

No team as a #16 seed has ever defeated a #1 seed since the field was expanded to 64 or more teams, though on four occasions, a #16 seed has come within 4 or fewer points of winning:
While ultimately Murray State lost to Michigan State by 4 points in 1990, they were the only #16 team to ever take a game into overtime.
East Tennessee State lost to Oklahoma in 1989 (1 point, 72–71)
Princeton lost to Georgetown in 1989 (1 point, 50–49)
Western Carolina lost to Purdue in 1996 (2 points, 73–71)
