I am planning a visit to Vegas that just happens to coincide with Fat Tuesday. Does anyone know of any good Mardi Gras activities in $in City? Not looking for wild, crazy party but New Orleans type food and some free beads and Cajun music. Any tips?
Two years ago, I flew in on Fat Tuesday and stayed at Harrahs, which calls itself the Mardi Gras casino. Nothing, I mean nothing. I heard there was a party on Fremont but didn't go. Hope your results are better.
They thru beads off the Golden Nugget balcony (Gold diggers nightclub to be exact, and The "D's" balcony at the top of the escalator on Fremont street a few years back. It was festive but tame. More than one young lady "earned" her beads but parties didn't get out of hand.
