From yesterday's LVA News:
• July 28, 2014 16:24 Biloxi Casino Closing May Be Fast-Tracked: Mississippi's casinos are currently faring no better than those in Atlantic City, with word that the Margarittaville Casino, co-owned by Jimmy Buffett, may close sooner than the already announced Sept. 19 deadline. Attorney's for operators MVB Holding LLC are being asked to hand over the keys to the property immediately by attorneys representing landlords owed nearly $4 million in rent. Apparently, the casino also owes a half-mil in unpaid taxes.
DonDiego is sorry to see this. teechur and he spent a few hours at Mr. Buffett's joint on the way home from N'awlins a coupl'a years ago. It was a nice smallish casino and restaurant situated dockside on Biloxi Bay with large windows lighting up the joint better than most. The restaurant offered a great view of the Bay and even dining alfresco on the dock.
The gambling was pretty good too. Poor old DonDiego cashed out ahead at the blackjack tables.
He'd hope to visit it again late this year, . . . but it is not to be.
