Mayweather-Pacquaio

I just read the write up, sounded like a pretty boring fight.
It was another Mayweather fight. Defense, defense, defense. Most fans are bored with defense regardless of the sport. Pacman had no Plan B in this fight.

Punch Stats-

MAYWEATHER PACQUIAO
Landed 148 81
Thrown 435 429
Pct. 34%. 19%.
I only got to see the post fight interview with Mayweather on ESPN and now I'm thirsty for some Tecate. Mayweather also talked about his $100 million payday and showed his check. He will also get a 7 figure income every month for the rest of his life. He said he will give up his belt titles and last fight probably will be in September.
I didn't watch the fight, but from the highlights that I viewed, Pacman has zero power left. He was much stronger during his steroid years. This fight was five years too late.

The fight probably was 5 years to late. That is because Pacman, despite being 2 years younger, is not nearly the boxer he once was. Floyd is still on top of his game, albeit a boring style to most.

Glad I didn't pay to watch this fight, way to boring. I watched it on my computer from one of those pirated sites. It still was not worth it. I've seen better bum of the month club fights. It was a good payday for these two money whores. It's time to turn the torch over to someone more exciting.....
Boxing seems to be a "scam" at just about every level. I refuse to put any hard earned money down on a bet or for a ticket to be part of the shenningans that is now professional boxing.

100000% agree! Boxing as a sport has been tainted for many years and the quality of the sport has suffered and continues to suffer greatly because of it. Nothing will change until they base who fights who based on rank. #1 should have to defend his title at least twice a year or retire. He should HAVE to defend it against WHOEVER is ranked #2. If you don't want to fight them the retire. Think about every other sport. did the Patriots get to pick who they played in the Super Bowl? How about picking your opponent for the World Series this year? Maybe in the Master Tournament they should allow the previous champ to play against 12 year olds. You get my point.

With all of that being said the scumbags that run boxing are making money hand over fist and will not allow these types of changes. And for that reason MMA will continue to be more about the sport and continue to pull fans away from boxing.
"Thems fighters was hand picked!"

"It was fixed"

"No, they was good fighters, but not like this guy. He's an animal!"

Oh wait, that was fiction. But the only knowledge I have of boxing comes from the rocky movies.....And my stint in the USMC, were I truly learned to hate boxing. I still have headaches from it.
From ESPN

LAS VEGAS -- Manny Pacquiao said a right shoulder injury prevented him from fighting at his best in his loss to Floyd Mayweather.

Nevada officials also denied Pacquiao's request to take an anti-inflammatory shot in his dressing room before the fight Saturday night. The chairman of the Nevada Athletic Commission said the ruling was Pacquiao's fault for not mentioning his injury sooner.

"It's part of the game," Pacquiao said. "I don't want to make alibis or complain or anything ... [but] it's hard to fight one-handed."

Just another example of why I will never bet on a living thing. I got royally screwed at a dog track one day when they let an injured dog race.
