Measles

Interesting that all of a sudden there's an outbreak of measles this year all due to folks not getting vaccinated. I'm certain it surely couldn't be related to that huge influx of cent. american kids that the US welcomed with open arms(well, the feds arms anyway). I remember they quietly shipped them piecemeal all over the country, our area got several hundred of 'em.

What a country!

The only question I have is: Why did it take so long for somebody here to start parroting Rush, Sean, and the rest of the right wing loonies on this issue? Typical knee-jerk reaction - blame it on the feds and Central American kids without even a wisp of proof....

The libertarian philosophy is that AMericans should have the freedom to expose themselves to medieval diseases....and thereby everyone else too.

Senator Rand Paul:

(The underlined portion has been refuted by the consensus of medical experts and Rand Paul had been desperately backpeddling ever since making this statement.)

Patient zero has not been identified, . . . and pr'bly won't be. But the present measles outbreak apparently did start in "The Happiest Place on Earth".
n.b. This does not mean it wasn't an unvaccinated illegal immigrant, or a peg-legged midget with a parakeet on his shoulder, or an old geezer from Appalachia on vacation.
For the record poor old DonDiego hasn't been in California for many years.

The government knows what's better for your children than you do, so you must submit to their demands to chemically inject your children with a mild form of what ever disease they want to. You must comply. Healthcare USA style today is total control of you and your family's healthcare decisions. You must comply.

The Unvaccinated should have to pay more for health insurance....just like smokers do.
