I'm a boomer too Candy, and I got measles, mumps and chicken pox as a kid. It was a part of life. Sooner or later, you'd get it, got over it, then you couldn't get it again. Natural immunity.
I can't help but wonder if the drive and desire to interfere with the process of natural immunity with human beings concerning illnesses that are typically NOT life threatening or crippling could, over the course of a few more generations, genetically modify, weaken, or even destroy natural immunity.
