With Memorial Day approaching, let us not forget the true meaning of Memorial Day.

If you can read this post, thank a teacher,

If you can read this in English, tank a Veteran.

On Armed Forces Day, we salute the current members of the service.
On Veterans Day, we salute past members of the service.
On Memorial Day, we salute our war dead. Not our veterans, not todays troops, nor our war wounded- but our war dead.

On Monday, at 3PM local time, please take a moment to give rememberance to those who gave all.

billyryan...thank you for the reminder.
I'm always saddened when I remember guys I went to H.S. with...died in Viet Nam.

If you say it's the 315 th day of year, you'd be correct.

If you say it's your birthday, than,.......... so what.

Major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 with the German signing of the Armistice.

People seem to think this was a coincidence or something.

Thank you. That is a nice, concise, easy-to-understand description of several major 'holidays' in which people (myself included) tend to forget the reason behind the day.
