Memorial Day Weekend

Hey There

Just realised we will be in Vegas over memorial day weekend - we are stopping Thursday 22nd until Thursday 29th of May.

As far as i can tell Memorial day is the Monday 26th so will that weekend be really busy?

We are from the UK and i've never been in Vegas over Memorial Day weekend before. Any ideas on what to expect that might be different from our usual early May or Sept trips.

Is the Monday a national holiday? So will people be there for a long weekend?

By the way i'm ridiculously excited about been back in Vegas

I'm ridiculously excited about been back in Vegas - me too!!! we go in less than 2 weeks. I will look for the answers on this one. I know our local casino's are quiet during long holiday weekends as people tend to travel and go other places. I, for one, will be camping with my granddaughter that weekend, and far from the casinos.

It will be packed on the strip. Its one of the big 3 day weekends in the US. Was talking to one of my host at the Stations and he said they had very few rooms left at any of their casinos.
If you like the feel of a jam packed, noisy casino, you will love it!

The locals casinos will more than likely have point multipliers on M-Day. Also, lots of specials for veterans on that day. Pools should be packed.

We went to Vegas Memorial Day weekend for about 6 years straight. Always had a great time. Still my favorite time to go but my wife decided that 95°F isn't hot enough. Now, we go June/early July.

Vegas will be crowded the Friday, Saturday and Sunday but nothing crazy in my experience. Things will be a lot quieter on Monday to Thursday.

Should be a memorable experience.

If I make a "hit" this trip, I just might be back MD!

Cant wait - I love a good party crowd and some good banter at the tables with other players.

Blade - its true those are the best words going - 6 weeks today and we will be en-route to the promised land. It makes a years worth of hard work worthwhile.

this thread might have been an excuse just to talk about Vegas for a bit ;-)

So i can take it we will be looking at increased table minimums over the weekend? Any idea what those might be?

We are stopping at Aria so I'm guessing $10 tables will be out of the question over the weekend?
