MGM parking fees...why is there not more screaming?

$17 to valet park???? $10 to self park???? For those of us who fly in for an extended Las Vegas visit and use a rental car, these fees impact the planning process. I'm currently putting together a 23 day end-of-April to mid-May trip and would much rather leave $300 or so in my gambling budget than stay at MGM properties. The rental car companies must be having corporate hissy fits! Locals must be rearranging their choices, too. $36M in "garage upgrades"?? How much of that will be spent by MGM to install gates and toll booths? Hopefully, I'm not alone in boycotting these establishments.
Will people park at the TI and take the tram over? How will the TI manage this situation?
Don't like the fees, don't go there. There is no need for screaming. Anything that needs to be said, can be said by keeping your wallet shut.

Do the parking fees apply to all MGM properties or just the MGM Grand?
Finally, a sensible comment about Vegas hotel fees. No need to get mad, no need to yell, but certainly vote with your wallet if you wish.

When is this suppose to start? We just got back and there was no fee to park and we used it 3 or 4 times.
So Im guessing none of you folks actually subscribe to the LVA, as it has an article on this subject.
I am one that does like to vote with my feet and / or my dollars. however, I have not been in an MGM joint in years -- mainly because I avoid the strip.
I know I went to Studio 54 one trip, and went to see the young cats another time, but I don't think I've gambled at an MGM since my second trip to Vegas, circa 2002 when I stayed at Excalibur. I've played at slots of fun but not since they took out the table games. Since I found out KGBs closed, I have not been to the strip, although I'm sure I go to some shows at the Brooklyn Bowl.
They start in April. Cosmo self parkers will get killed....that garage is nice and now it is nestled between Aria and Bellagio and close to the new Arena.

Not sure if visitors with the MGM players card will get the fees comped....just another reason to say Hello to Harrahs.

Its going to pressure their neighbors into doing the same. The Caesers properties are going to get alot more cars from people who dont want to pay at the MGM properties. Not sure if thats a positive or negative for them. You can bet there wil be some analysis done.
