I think best option is to stay at Travelodge which do not charge resort fees and offer plenty of parking space for free. Plus you get to stay close to the Strip and the airport.

How much play do you need to give them to get comped?
Here's what you do. Drop off your party at the hotel, drive to a surface lot in front of a business where there's a lot of foot traffic, the take the Deuce back to the hotel. Problem solved.
I think it has to do with many locals working in the industry and can't speak against mgm or Caesars. Btw, it is pretty much said and done that Caesars is set to follow suit charging for parking. Many locals do not gamble or go to the strip on a regular basis. This will just keep them away more. Our shows and dining is double that of other cities. The cost of parking is already figured in. They will drive tourism down and be begging locals to come out and play when they have destroyed the economy that just rebounded. But they think this week and not next year. They over spend on remodels and new concepts and then cry that they are not making a profit. Guess what the rest of the world doesn't install a million dollar bathroom and then cry that their house is only with 200k and they can't make their money back. The public cannot and will not be able to keep both Vegas casinos and our country in general in business with such stupid and greedy business people and politicians in power. Bankruptcy at the top levels does and will continue to trickle down and put people out of business and eventually the scheming has to stop. It is not sustainable.
