Brilliant! The war is over and you win.
My reaction to this whole situation remains unchanged. I'm with the customer on this one. There is simply no excuse for poor customer service. Who do you want to take care of, the nice guy that doesn't spend a dime, or the asshole that spends his money at your place of business? The fact is the money is the same no matter who it comes from.

If you put yourself in the position of dealing with customers on a face to face basis, you have to take care of them, no exceptions, unless you're OK with losing them as paying customers.

I'm sorry if someones inability to take care of the customer gets them fired, but that's the way it goes sometimes. There are plenty of people in Las Vegas and everywhere else who have dealt with assholes for years and have kept their jobs by maintaining their professionalism.

Certainly there are unreasonable customers out there, lots of them depending on your line of work. But there are proper ways of dealing with them. Telling them you don't care that they're upset and threatening to throw them out is not one of them.

He did not know where he could find a MGM letter head so he could write his fake letter and make it look real.

Either that or he was embarrased by his offer of three free nights at Circus Circus and two free buffets.

Of course it did. Me while I was writing it, and the 14 times I re-read it.

RoadTrip- Thank you for your description of the events you encountered. It sounds like you handled things very well, and got a decent response from management. I chuckle about the fact that they were concerned about you soliciting players over to Bellagio, since it's also owned by MGM.

It sounds like you got an apology and a fair resolution to the issue without having to yell "this poker room sucks and I'm never coming back." Kudos to you.

I make too much money each year in poker rooms plundering and pillaging the inebriated players and other tourists to ever risk becoming unpopular with management or staff.

When it comes to casino's, I never say never. I always try to maintain my composure, even when the floor makes a stupid ruling that costs me money. I know how to ask for the shift boss, try to meet the manager, and try to promote myself as a likeable and knwledgeable player.

Results? A few extra comps, maybe a free hat or t-shirt, etc.

Security tossed me out of the high roller casino at Foxwoods. You don't hear me complaining about it. I will take my 25 cent VP play elsewhere.

Mohegan Sun is a short drive away. They would love some of snidely333's action.
