I live very close to where you stayed in New Hampshire. Its interesting that someone can write a trip report about where you live and make it sound interesting and point out some things that I didn't know.
I love this area, the history, the ocean, the leaves that will be changing in about 6 weeks, everything! but as you can see its a slower, more laid back kind of living which is why, after 30+ trips to Las Vegas over the years the lights, bells, smells and sounds still get my juices flowing.

That's what I call a trip report! How refreshing that we were treated to an old fashioned journey complete with all the wonderful food and drink that a 40th anniversary couple could handle, instead of the usual drab reports about gambling losses in LasVegas or twisted and undignified, immoral sexcapades at a crumbcake like the Silvertown. Bravo!

One question: Why are the two of you not five feet wide? LOL

I have come to view "award winning", as it applies to a dish or entire eatery, as translating to "quite ordinary or not even that good". Perhaps the dish/eatery was once award winning, but that ship usually seems to have sailed by the time I get there. JMHO.

Anyway, what a lovely and interesting place to visit.
