Minneapolis–Saint Paul

Change is good. Great opportunity!

Are you selling your home or planning to rent it for awhile?
Not needed for me,but I have 2 block heaters: One replaces a freeze plug and the other is in line with the bottom radiator hose.It would be good to have a back up block heater.
The power feeds off to a trickle charger , for the battery:3 A. on board one.
It's just nice when I can get heat 2 blocks from my house.(I hate leather seats!)

The temp gauge is up to as much as 1/4 when I start it in the mornings.
I'm 170 and very sensitive to cold weather.Better, if I could gain 30 pounds.

PJ got me drunk the other day. I was the victim! Thanks for joining me to tip a few.

Good luck, Boiler. Nice having drinks with you the other day. I'm sure you'll do fine up there

Selling the house in Indy, and renting in the Minneapolis area for a year. I need to access the place and job for a year before I would consider buying. Thanks for asking.

My ride will NOT have an engine block heater. I hope that my research was correct, but I read various places that if one uses a fully synthetic lubricant for the engine, and has a good battery, one won't need an engine block heater. My Ford Edge will have leather seats with seat warmers.

Would you agree with my decision not to go with an engine block heater given my plan?

Indy,

I have two women friends I met years ago at Carnival in Curacao, I remember them telling me that the temperature difference between
Curacao & Minneapolis was 100 degrees. Of course this was in February.
Have a safe trip & enjoy Minneapolis & stay warm.
A carnival in Curacao sounds great, but unfortunately I will be ice fishing instead. Lol.

First things first. Get a dingleberry warmer. THEN think about the engine block.
