Minus5 Ice Bar

Has anybody ever been to the Minus5 Ice Bar at either MANDALAY BAY or at MONTE CARLO? Your thoughts? Is it worth seeing? I thought the family might get a kick out of it.

A group of us did it at the one at Mandalay Bay. You get one free drink for the price you pay. The drink list for the free drink are all foo-foo drinks, but you are allowed to order extra drinks. The glasses are made completely of ice, but you are given gloves that have enough traction to hold on.

The price wasn't cheap, but you should do it at least once. We all enjoyed it.
dclinton: In case you decide to go and don't have a coupon see the Mandalay Place link below (Minus 5 is on page 17). You get a $15 entry including one free drink prior to 6 PM.

So you go to a bar made out of 100% Canadian ice where you put on parkas to drink overpriced drinks from ice glasses that require you to wear grippy mitts and the thrill is(besides shivering):
>>>drum roll please>>>>>>>>>>>>>you can see your frosty breath!?!?

Not IMO, your mileage may vary.

I just saw an episode on Vegas with Tom Selleck, that he recommended that the Monticetto open an ice bar like Mandalay Bay has. I never knew that the Monte Carlo had one.

Yeah but you get to see blonde ice bunnies.

I hate the cold, ........... and I live in New England. LOL

When I go to Vegas I go there to get warm, not to pay $$ to be cold.

Those coupons seem to have expired. I wonder if they would still honour them?

Blonde4: My apologies. Here is a better link that has coupons expiring July 31, 2011 (minus 5 is on page 33). I'm sure their coupons will be updated again in the future.
