Mirage

My wife and I will be staying at the Mirage for 7 nights in early November. Any tips on the location of the room we stay in or where to eat therein? What about the shows? We have 2 for 1 ticket offer for "Love" and have read good things about the Terry Fator show. Thanks for your input.

Love the Mirage..Try to get rooms on 17th floor or above..To me great views..The new Steak house Tom Colecchio's is awesome..It's just behind the Lobby Bar..Enjoy your stay..Ill be there for New Yrs..

Rooms facing south will give a better view of the strip than to the north...the higher the floor, the better the view.

Dont limit yourself to shows at your resort (or restaurants for that matter). Having said that "Love" is one of the better cirque shows. Many people rave about Terry Fator - I found him amusing for about 20 minutes and then stared longingly at the exit sign.

The guy is a talented ventriloquist, no question.

We saw him in December, Christmas themed show, and unfortunately I found the schtick tiresome after a while (he did a bit about characters entering/leaving his house for a holiday visit...went on and on a bit too long, IMO).

I had seen some of his routines on line and was looking forward to same, but this show was different, didn't have all the funny 'superstar' puppet impersonations.

All this to say, without the holiday routine the show might be back to what he did better previously. Maybe someone here has seen a more recent Fator show?

If your tickets are comped, go for it. Or try to get them discounted at one of the ticket outlets. Don't pay full price.
