Mob Tour

Has anyone taken the mob tour? Is it worth it?

Is that the one at the Tropicana or the mob museum? The mob museum is very worth while. I have not attended the Trop one. The Trop one is supposed to have actors. I know the company that puts the one on at the Trop had to file for bankruptcy and reorganization.

The mob museum near downtown is outstanding, if you have an interest in the history of organized crime.

So this is a bus tour and is neither of the things I mentioned earlier. I have not taken the tour.

I'll once again state that if you enjoy reading and viewing the history of the mob, you will want to go to the mob museum. I believe my admission was $14, but you can probably find a discount somewhere. You can go through the museum at your own pace, but I'd give it at least three hours, if you want to stop and watch videos, and read things.

I've done the bus tour. I don't give it the same high marks as most reviewers but I'd say its a fun two hours. Have you seen the movies "Casino" and "Bugsy"? Well the mob tour basically tells you both of those stories while stopping at many of the actual locations where the actual events happened in real life. The two hour drive amounts to 1.5 hours of the driver telling the stories...and about .5 hours visiting the actual places.

Now when I take people to Vegas with me I give them the same tour in my rental car minus the $50 price tag of the one from the Royal Hotel.
