More pension trouble?

Chilly is the one who opened this up by saying that America was screwed up prior to Obama. I pointed out the stats that obamanomics has been a failure.

In regards to the 09 deficit, Obama & the democrats were in control in January 09 & had plenty of time and opportunity to reduce the deficit.

hoops2 is feigning ignorance of a feature of the US Senate known as a filibuster. Moreover, reducing the deficit in January 09 was a terrible idea. We needed to increase the deficit through spending and tax cuts to stimulate the economy.

Think of the 09 economy as a guy who's just had a heart attack. Now normally, it's a bad idea to shock a guy's chest with a defibrillator's electric paddles.



But when he's just had a heart attack, it's good to shock the guy like that. Real good. And so that's what we did. We shocked the economy with tax cuts and spending, it worked, and the deficit's now far less of a concern than it was when President Bush scampered back to Texas.

This is the slowest economic recovery ever. Essentially chilly says that after 5 years the economy suck less.

Fed. Reserve has printed more and more and more money, if interest rates were up where they should be and we did not raise the debt ceiling, Obama would look even worse.(If that is possible). I love your graph too Chilcoot, and in 2020 everyone that is homeless will be a multi-millionair, now prove me wrong. Question why does Obama want to raise the debt ceiling? Bush spent too much money and Obama if off the charts, we need to tighten our belts!!!!!!!!!!! We are screwing our grandchildren!!!!!!

Every budget Reagan submitted to the Democrat controlled House and Senate during his term was DOA. More "I voted for it but it is the President's fault for signing it into law, not mine." Congressional Democrats have mastered the tactic of voting FOR bad legislation and blaming the President when it becomes law.

I guess if Obama is going to raise the budget and go further into deficit then there is really no reason why he should have been elected, if we go with Forkie's logic. I don't think I've ever seen a bigger hypocrite in my life.
