More Trouble With E-Cigarettes

I had quit cold turkey. Back in the day I don't think the patch or gum even existed. The first 30 days or so was the hardest. My mind was so conditioned to smoking that while quitting my hand would automatically reach into to my shirt pocket in order to pull out a cigarette and nothing was there. Then I would think WTF where did I put my cigarettes only to realize it was a conditioned response. And to this day I sometimes get nightmares having dreamt I started smoking again waking up in cold sweats but relieved that it was only a dream. You too can get that monkey off your back.

Sorry, but e-cigs are not a satisfactory solution for smokers. They contain nicotine. Stats were showing slower growth of teens starting to smoke cigarettes. The e-cigs have promoted a false sense of no health problems down the road.

Instead of solution I probably should have said compromise. As bad as nicotine is there are plenty of compounds in cigarette smoke that are as bad or worse. And these not only are a hazard to smokers, but are imposed on unwilling nonsmokers in the vicinity. E-cigarettes to me seem the lesser of two evils, and a way for smokers and nonsmokers to coexist more safely and comfortably.
