Most Beautiful Song Ever!

"Blue Bayou", as written by Roy Orbison and sung by Linda Ronstad. It gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it.

LOL. It blew me away, too!

"The Twelfth of Never"...Johnny Mathis.
"Somewhere Over The Rainbow" - Israel "Iz" Kamakawiwo'ole

Iz - gone too soon, but never forgotten.

While Blue Bayou is a very nice song, I hardly think it is the most beautiful song ever. That being said, I don't know what the most beautiful song ever is? I would think it would have an orchestra in it. Some of the movie themes are beautiful too.

Well, it is a very subjective topic, to be sure, sort of like asking someone who they think is the most beautiful woman or the handsomest man in the world.

What I truly like about "Blue Bayou" is the way Linda Ronstad owned it. To me, it's like the song was written just for her. Roy Orbison wrote it and sang it, and Dolly Parton also sang it, and neither of their versions even comes close to Linda Ronstad's, IMHO, and they were/are very, very talented musicians.

I'll take Hold On, I'm Comin' by Sam and Dave.
