Most Popular Beer 'Round the World

Here's the map of the most popular brews around the world.

Of course one cannot read it, because it's too small, . . . and the world is so big.*

But what is important is that the most popular beer in the United States is Bud Lite. This is embarrassing. Bud Lite ! ! !

At least the Europeans drink real beer, . . . like Carling, and Heinecken, and Tuborg. And, of course, Guinness in Ireland. Heckfire even the Canadians drink regular Budweiser.

And who else prefers light beer ? What country in the world joins with the USA in drinking light beer ? That'd be Iran where they drink Delster Light Non-Alcoholic Beer. How embarrassing is that?
Thanks, Obama.

For the record DonDiego is presently finishing off a SweetWater Spinnerbait Belgian Style red Ale out of Atlanta.

Stay thirsty.

I went into 3 authentic Irish Pubs in Ireland on my last visit....these were not touristy joints, mind you.

By far the most popular beer being served to customers was.....Budweiser. No bullshit. You can tell because most Ireland pubs serve draft beer in specially labeled glass that advertise the conents within - plus its easy to identify Budweiser's watery-piss color from any distance.

Seems like I was the only person drinking the dark stuff.

When I went to Germany in 2000 there was a Budweiser brand of beer but it wasn't the American Budweiser (or at least it wasn't the same logo and label).
I prefer Budweiser, but I did enjoy Soberana while in Panama and Belikin while in Belize.

Try as I might, and Lord knows I have tried, I just can't shake my love for Bud Light I have tired more different brands of beer than I care to mention and I always come back to Bud Light.
All you beer snobs go ahead and flame me, I can handle it. I will say I can also pound Michelob Ultra but Bud Light is my go to beer.

Now if anyone starts the shit about being wimpy come on over and we will break out the Woodford Reserve Bourbon or the Bookers.

Whoa, . . . DonDiego would never suggest anyone is wimpy. But Bud Light, . . . really? Tutontow might want to have a medical professional check that a Y chromosome was involved in fertilizing his original egg, . . . just in case.

DonDiego matches Tutontow's Woodford Reserve and Booker's with a Jack Daniels Single Barrel Tennessee Whiskey and a Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey. His Father-in-Law and DonDiego polished off the Gentleman Jack Rare Tennessee Whiskey some time ago.
I spent 6 months in Germany in 1991 for Desert Storm. EVERY city we visited had it's own local brew. I learned my digestive system did some really bad things to a true blue German beer.

A favorite among the cash strapped soldiers was Perminator since you could get trashed on one liter with the high alcohol content.

Domestically I like Michalob Ultra and MGD light, but mostly drink Coors light because it's less expensive or Blue Moon if I'm in the mood.
I'm generally not a beer drinker but will drink it when everybody else is drinking it. I generally drink the light beers. The Sam Adams Light beer or Amstel Light seem to have a little more flavor than the other light beers.
It seems that who like Bud don't really like much else and those who like real beer can't stand Bud.

Jack Daniels single barrel used to be my go to whiskey but one sip of Woodford and I am no longer a Jack fan and I have been drinking Jack since 1976.

I know DD I don't get it, my father is German and my mother is Irish and we are talking real German and Irish and yes I like yellow water better know as Bud Light.
