Pathetic, hateful people have always been around. What is new is that leading gubernatorial candidates and even a recent presidential nominee have actually sought this guy's endorsement. And that's really pathetic.

He poaches game, and in addition uses illegal methods of take. But at least he's not a communist.

I've always been conservative and I’ve always been a Ted fan, yet I'm surprised by his comments. I find it hard to believe that he's a racist, although his comments certainly make it sound that way. If he's racist, I'm disappointed. I’ve been incorrectly labeled on this site many times.

I too, used to be a Ted Nugent fan. Still think the live version of "Great White Buffalo" is an awesome song. Was very impressed with his lead guitar work on "Journey To The Center Of The Mind" by the Amboy Dukes back in the 60s.

That being said, am very disappointed in some of the things he has said and done recently. Seems he has no respect for our current president....and even less respect for women.

The BS he pulled with that 17 year old girl awhile back was especially low...even for him.

And his numerous violations of state hunting regulations is well documented.

Simply don't understand why any politician would want his endorsement and have Terrible Ted stumping for him on the campaign trail.

Just because one has a talent, playing a guitar, does not mean that one has a rational view of the world or any real values. Other classic examples that immediately come to mind are the so-called "professional athletes" that many fawn over and emulate.

I met Ted several times in the 1972 - 1974 timeframe and once again maybe 30 years ago. He attended Fremd High School (Palatine, IL) and I was friends with his little sister. His band was at the house Nugent house somewhat frequently (I think it was the Amboy Dukes then), and they were expected to stay in the basement and away from us younger pups for the most part. That's when I learned what pot smelled like.

Occasionally Ted came upstairs to use the restroom, or get a drink and we'd chat for a minute. All I can recall is that he seemed quite high strung with almost what I would describe as having attention deficit disorder. It's certainly possible that I simply bored him, however.

You've labeled yourself racist by speaking out in favor of racial profiling by the police.

Yes, I'm pro racial profiling in some situations by police. I'm also pro religious profiling with Muslims in our airports.

I'm not a racist and I've not labeled myself as so.

Hell, Forkie, my friend Dom was born in Tanzania and lived there and Kenya for the first 48 years of his life. Like me, he's now a 54 year old American citizen. This makes him one of the only true African Americans living within the United States.

Dom and I are planning a trip some time down the road for the two of us to spend several weeks in Tanzania together. We'll be staying in hotel, at his mother's home and at the home of some of his friends. I can talk racial profiling with Domonick and he knows I'm not racist, but he doesn't believe in some of the same "labels" as you.

I don't believe in shrinking from the truth because of Liberal labels.
