MSS comps for June stay info

I recently stayed at MSS, for a total of 2 nights, booked at rack rate. I hadn't stayed there in probably 6 years so my history of play was essentially nada.

I was just able to check my points/play on B Connected. In my time there (11am Sunday to 1pm Tuesday), I totaled 21,700pts, playing exclusively VP (single line at the bar for .25, and nickel super times pay...either 5 or 10 play).

The hotel comped the 2 nights on the way out, and also the $40 or so in room charges (food). During my time there, I also asked the host there for 3 comps. One for the breakfast buffet (for 2 people), and two $30 comps for the 777. I was given those with no problem.

Got a mailing offer today for 3 free nights anytime between now and November 1, and 4 free buffet coupons.

I know people like specifics about comps. That's about as specific as I can get.
Nice.
How were the rooms. Were the pay tables good on the VP?
Main street station has very good VP. The Boar's Head bar is beautiful, you can get the micro brews there, and the JoB is 9/6. Other good machines all over the place.

The room is basic. The showers are made for people under 5 foot
We have become Boyd's customers and love the buffet at main st. They do have good video poker, but the rest of their machines don't play at all. So we stick to video poker. Actually my husband was waiting for us and put in five dollars on a regular double double and hit four aces and kicker on the first hand. That hasn't happened forever. We had stopped playing single hand dd.

I have stayed there at least 10 times, all comps from VP. Whenever I've played more then 4 hours I go ask at the desk for a food comp and have never been told no.Love that place.
I'm a Boyd's boy and I stay downtown.
Don't mess around,stay at MSS.
The 777 is great! It can get noisy on weekends.

Haven't been here lately,so I let my Sapphire points expire,so I'm back to a Ruby card.
I'll fix that in October.Just waiting on my comp nights.

How is the Cal remodeling coming along?

We went over and ate at the Noodle place at the Cal but I couldn't tell you too much about the casino. It was kind of a blur
Any other Boyd's love tips. We just started playing there in the last year. They have been generous for the amount of play, but I've not won much, but they seem to let you play, but not win much. Generous food comps. We also like the 777 and the fried chicken on the mss buffet. As well as Orleans wing selection. They don't have fancy buffets but better than other value buffets.
the $1.75 brews at the bar at MSS, I like the café at the Cal with coupon in MRB. beer / shot specials at Cal and Fremont. drink service at the table games and machines at Fremont can be horrible. at the GC or Orleans, you can slow-play pai-gow for several hours, your money can last a long time, usually friendly dealers, and you can get plenty of free drinks and the drink service is not bad. the Boyd properties downtown have a lot to offer for the budget Vegas traveler. It allows me to spend my money on GAMBLING, kind of the way Vegas used to be. I don't need overpriced food or lodging or night clubs. I am old school Vegas all the way baby!
Yeah that's exactly right. Depending on what kind of trip it is.....with just a buddy or with our wives......I need different things. With just my buddy, no fancy dinners or shows so a place where I can get good cheap eats, easy comps, and good gambling is perfect. So 99% of my budget goes toward the gambling. :-)
