His passing holds no special meaning to me - I have more respect for the many who died and were injured while in the service for their country.
Damn draft dodgers!

Poor young DonDiego found himself with the same choice upon completing his college matriculation in possession of a very low number from the 1969 draft lottery. And he also joined the Navy.
For the record to the best of poor old DonDiego's knowledge no Viet-Cong made it past the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel while he was stationed near its southern terminus in Norfolk, VA.

He holds no animus toward Cassius Clay. He also holds no animus against Mr. Trump.

DonDiego was almost rejected by The Draft for high blood pressure; a re-test proved him physically acceptable to the military. For the remainder of his life poor old DonDiego has consistency exhibited below average blood pressure; he is just a laid-back kinda guy. Things happen.

Things happen.
Glad others think all the hype is ridiculous!! BUT REMEMBER ANY SPORT THAT WILL MAKE MONEY FOR SOMEONE IS ALWAYS FORGIVEN!

HOW MANY FOOTBALL OR BASKETBALL, AND YES, BASEBALL PLAYERS HAVE RAPED AND ABUSED WOMEN.??

They get a slap on the wrist, a fine (big whoop) and they're back in the game.

Don't appreciate little boys LOOKING UP TO THESE ABUSERS. It's really pitiful.
Maybe true, maybe not.

Ali was balking at putting his seatbelt on for a cross-country flight. He shot at the stewardess, "Superman don't need no seatbelt". To which she replied, "Superman don't need no airplane either".

Always liked the story of how the soon-to-be champ did a photo shoot with the Beatles shortly before his fight with Sonny Liston, after Liston had basically told them to take a hike.
Ali used to brag he was so fast he could turn off the lights and jump in bed before it got dark. Many a boy tried that, unsuccessfully.
"Can't we all get along?" Let bygones be gone and REST IN PEACE, ALREADY!
My Guy is Bob Feller. First ball player to enlist after Pearl Harbor. Was in combat for three years. Had just won 24, 27 and 25 games. Pitched in nine games in 1945. Then won 26 and 20 games the next two years. Won 266 games. It kills me when I hear them say so and so just passed Bob feller in career wins. Feller would have won about one hundred more games if not for WWII.
P.S. I met Bob Feller in Las Vegas a few years ago. some one said to him. You are a war hero. He said the ones who didn't make it back are the war heroes.
He is right in that statement!
