Proof of what, suecasey? He made a call and the host said "okay." Good for him. The casino wanted his business and the hosted approved it. Very nice. Does it make it "right?" Does it make it a standard operating procedure?

Enjoy. I still won't do it.

Proof of EXACTLY what you have been told by several posters throughout this thread.
You repeatedly stated you wanted someone to call, ask the question, and post the response here. Now someone has done so, and because the answer was NOT the one you wanted to hear, you still don't want to listen or understand.
No one here cares if you won't double book, but the FACT is that those of us who do so are doing nothing wrong. Your ideas & assumptions have been proved to be incorrect on this issue.
Look mistrhia, on the one hand we have a poster who says their casino host says its ok. So be it. I know of a casino host and manager who say it's not okay. We're even.

I'll tell you what. I'd like ANTHONY to let us know how he feels about players booking multiple room offers simultaneously to take advantage of free play. Anthony, please, your opinion?? Is it OK in your book?? Should players take advantage of this when the opportunity arises?

I'll shut up and wait for Anthony's comments. We all respect Anthony. Thanks.

I'm saddened to hear that you didn't share this information at anytime throughout the thread. You kept tasking others to ask the questions to prove you were correct. When it didn't work out the way you wanted you pull this "I know a casino host and manager who say it is not"card out of your back pocket. If we actually believe you then you were playing this whole thread with loaded dice.

When you sit on information like that you aren't truly sharing with anybody in the forum you are simply grandstanding.

Sue,
I love you so much right about now LMAO...whooo haaa, needed that laugh

...and I can tell you that I've had hosts tell me how stupid they think the requirement of booking the room is and they don't care if you don't stay in it. So, now where does that leave us?

This whole thread is ridiculous. You think you're taking a moral high road -- you're not. I'm curious to know where else you play besides Harrah's properties? Or have you put all of your eggs in one basket to have that 7 Stars status and are forced to stay at their properties if you want a comped room?

There was a year I did that. I pretty much just played in the Harrah's system and was 7 Stars less than halfway through the year. I had some decent offers, yes, but I've had better offers when combining them with other properties since spreading my play around. I've also not been *stuck* in one system. As Jean Scott says -- never marry a casino.
BTW, what makes you think Anthony is even reading this nonsense?
Liondownnow... please look at my posts made on 3/13/11 (on my computer they appear on page #4)... I guess I just should have come out and given the names of the execs and their properties. Well, I can't do that. I do work and consult for casinos, including strip, off strip, local and even California properties.

I'd still like to read Anthony's comments on this.

edited to add:

We all respect Anthony's opinions and I think Anthony's opinion would also be highly regarded by everyone else here.
Doubt AC uses hotel rooms as he's a local so why would he get fp offers attached to rooms?
He left HET/CE a LONG LONG time ago

wish it was going home time. this is a snore fest
The Las Vegas Advisor... the premiere advisory service for visiting Vegas... seems like this would be a natural subject for Anthony to comment on and to advise his readers about how to make use of promotions like this.

I can't believe I actually took the time to go back and look for this...

What he said was apparently this:

Well, AlanLeroy, I dont have to speculate because I have hosts at various properties and I know various casino executives. I guess you understand now

Nice obfuscation.

Saying you "don't have to speculate" may infer some form of acknowledgment by those sources but it certainly wasn't clearly stated and in a casual conversation on a forum it is easily overlooked, as it was here. I agree with Liondownnow. You had plenty of opportunity to clarify that and didn't until now. To me that looks far more like you have an agenda to carry out rather than just engaging in conversation.
