Muliple Free Play offers that demand hotel stay

One thing we can all agree on... I have never done "this multi booking thing." And I won't. So if you should find that your future comps are cut back, or that a free comped room is not available, don't blame me. Enjoy your trips.
"Enjoy your trips. "

I always did. And I never had a problem booking an offer because I didn't dawdle -- I called promptly to assure that I'd have the room. Now that I live in Vegas, however, none of this stuff applies to me anymore. I'm just sharing past experiences to help others who are willing to listen.

Nahh, that's all Singer's fault. We'll find other crap to pin on you....like bad dice rolls and endless rehashes.

Sue, whether you are giving the casino the action they want or not, youve just told us that the number of comped rooms is limited and when you book multiple comped rooms someone else could be getting bumped. Thats too bad.

Not trying to stir the pot here but it is possible that someone that books mutiple roooms could be taking someones comped room that had taken vacation time, purchased airfare, rented a car, reserved show tickets, etc.

And once again, nope! No one gets "bumped" - if you booked it, you get it. "Bumped" implies that it will be pulled out from under you after you booked, such as when airlines overbook seats, and that is simply NOT the case. If however, someone goes ahead and takes vacation time, books airfare, rents cars, buys show tickets, etc. before even taking the basic first step of booking their comped room they may indeed find a room is not available at their chosen time. Whose fault is that? In my opinion, it's the fault of the person who put the cart waaayyy before the horse. Anyone who does not book their comped room FIRST is taking their chances. The room is the easiest thing to cancel if you find out after booking that you can't find a flight, get vacation time off, etc. Those other items are all much less flexible, if at all. The availability of comped rooms ALWAYS varies, and always has, depending on the time of year, events in town, etc. It's simple common sense to book it first to make sure you are in, particularly if it means the difference between taking the trip or not!

So enough with these inflammatory claims and statements about something you clearly have no knowledge of. Sticking to facts is much more helpful to everyone. And rather than ordering everyone else to talk to their hosts, why don't you talk to all those high placed friends and hosts you claim to know and find out for yourself. Any one of them should be able to tell you that the casinos make money from people gambling on the gaming floor, not from people sleeping in their beds.

Also note that everyone here (with the possible exception of Bagiant's post about Rob Singer) has clearly indicated that all the casinos they booked at get their fair share of play and then some (over and above the freeplay given), whether they sleep in the room or not. So no one here is "working" these offers, as you previously suggested.

Alanleroy, you and Strother got it sooooo right!

mistrhia, thanks, "bumped" is the wrong word. "blocked" or "prevented from booking" would be more appropriate.
I think only the Venetian/Palazzo actually "bump" people from comped rooms.

I don't know of too many folks that will pass on $300 in free play because they don't want to potentially "block" a person from getting a comped room if they end out deciding they want to book one.

We need to keep this thread going because I don't think MoneyLA has saved Sue Casey's job yet.
moneyla = idiot.
Don't single poor old Rob Singer. The palazzo once gave mr and mrs snidely $350 in free play.

After we played through the free play, snidely the mathematician didn't see much point to keep playing a - ev game.

This year the snidelys have a comped room and $10 dining credit at a casino which shall not be named lest I cause short sells due to my hit and run singer style.

Since you have a good bead on how management thinks and what goes into their decisions, can you speculate on what they are thinking by even putting the check-in requirement into their offers? I agree that coin-in or time at the tables is what really counts, so why even include extra clauses into the offer's fine print?
Snidely you are a brave man and a good man for your telling us about your hit and run strategy. And you are smarter than those who say they take the free play money and continue to bet more. It never made sense to me why someone would take the free play with a room and not use the room but continue to lose more money in the casino? But what do I know? I'm the "forum idiot.".
