Music

He died in 2008,so it was more than a few summers back! Too much psychedelia!
There are some musician/songwriters that produce very appealing music, but their singing skills are not quite as appealing. Bob Dylan is, in my opinion, one of those artists. Another one would be Beck. I like some of his music - I own his Stereopathetic Soulmanure CD - and really like his song Rowboat. It is a pretty simple song, but it makes me smile and I have to sing along with it when I hear it. His vocals on this song on the CD sound like he just banged a dime bag and was real close to copping a nod. Johnny Cash covered this song and I think he did a much better job of singing it!

She is all, and everything else is small
Phish is a little like the Grateful Dead in that many of their fans follow them during their concert tours, going from city to city to see them multiple times. This is my favorite Phish song.

'bout time then, once again....
Whoever here is on the paid side, point tonyrob to this thread,he tried to to start several music threads and but got tired of the bickering and retreated to the paid side. I'm sure he'd like to jump in here.

I have no idea what this thread is even about since I didn't read the first page, but I'll agree with BobOrme on that Phish song. In my band we also do "Heavy Things" and "Sample In A Jar"
I started the thread just for a change of pace, and to share what I like in music. Go to the first page and check out some of my youtube links. I think you'll find other songs that you'll like too.

Right after college some fraternity friends joined me for a Grateful Dead tour. I think we hit about 6 shows. This was one of the highlights. Box of Rain

The story going around the concert was that the singer of the song, Phil Lesh, has some throat ailment and hadn't sung a song in few years and it was 10 year since the Dead played this song. People went wild to hear him sing and a lot of LSD was said to have been imbibed to celebrate this occasion.

We smoked a lot of good stuff and had a lot of fun. Sadly, one of my friends that was on that trip died about 20 years ago. Way too young.

Last summer my wife and I stayed at South Point and who do I see but Phil Lesh wondering about the casino by himself checking things out. Like a moth before a flame.
My parent note in this thread included a link to an unusual cover of my favorite AC/DC song. Here is a link to AC/DC's video performance of the same song. I like switching back and forth listening to both!
