Flint has been mismanaged for decades...by Democrats. They were essentially bankrupt and in receivership. They had an Emergency Manager Alright. One with a ton of experience managing local governments. Democrat Darnell Earley. Who...is also black. So your argument is appointing a Black Democrat to help get control of a city bankrupted by Democrats is a Racist Republican plot?
This Flint River Water switchover was fully supported by Democrat Mayor Dayne Walling who personally testified to its safety by drinking the water on local television and tweeting that he and his family drink Flint water every day.
Doctors recommended ending the use of the Flint river as a water supply, but were told in a meeting with Walling and other city officials that such a move would bankrupt the city
Are those the types of 'no fault' elected (democrat) leaders you're talking about?

The arrogant bastards thought they could do a better job of managing a city that had been de-industrialized through no fault of its elected leaders.

Make no mistake about it Alan. This is the perfect illustration of why the conservative approach to government is simply unworkable.
It's always easy to blame the other team....especially when you are unabashedly partisan. If you really look at it there's a lot of blame to go around. Like when did the EPA know about this and why didn't they act?
I just showed you how all those democrat local officials including the democrat Mayor and democrat Emergency Manager supported this boondoggle.
I think the real fault is with the scientists or engineers or bureaucrats from the Water Department who fucked up the science on it. How did they study this? Who approved THE PROJECT from a water quality standpoint and why? It wasn't the Governor.
