The source for my claim is Reuters - jatki, maybe you've heard of them. In contrast, alanleroy's source was the guy that is being "hunted down" by a House committee.

Even thought the email and several others was sent to two of his appointees, the governor says he never heard about it until ten months later. Either the governor is lying or he's made some incredibly bad appointments that he refuses to fess up to. He's go to go.

1. Yes, of course I quoted Flint Emergency Manager Democrat Darnell Earley....the career bureaucrat and former temporary Mayor of Flint. That was in response to forkush's claim this was exclusively a 'republican' issue. Did I mention he was a democrat and a career bureaucrat?

2. Regarding the e-mail you quoted, you'll note it is also displayed prominently at Dr. Mark Edwards "Flintwaterstudy.Org" website that I linked to. Rather than politicize the issue he continually points to the ineptitude and dishonesty of the scientific bureaucracy involved...including the United States Environmental Protection Agency which knew full well there was a serious problem for months without warning the people of Flint. Yet Dr. Edwards does not blame the Democrats or President Obama for the abject failure of the EPA.

3. If you look at the Biographies of many of the key players including the former head of the Michigan Environmental Quality Department and Mr. Earley you'll find appointments from both Democrats and Republicans and a career of 'public service'. Then you'll find employees that are career government managers, scientists and engineers. These are the bureaucrats I have been referring to.

4. They are responsible for what Dr. Edwards calls "Institutional Scientific Misconduct". He shows how this is perpetrated by the "U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), primacy agencies (like the MDEQ) and water utilities."

He further claims "The very agencies paid to protect us, not only failed to do so, but also revealed their callous indifference to the plight of our most vulnerable." And finally claimed that "Events in Flint, were inevitable, due to a lack of scientific integrity at the highest levels of these agencies, as illustrated by falsified reports exposed by my work over the last decade."

So asserting this disaster was exclusively the work of Republicans because they didn't trust black people is just plain silly. The real problem crosses political boundaries and is rooted in the very institutions designed to protect us.

Dr. Edwards points out that if the MDEQ had simply done its job and assured the right water treatment was in place, the Flint River water project would have been a success....and I imagine the people of Flint would be praising Democrat Emergency Manager Darnell Earley for saving them from the brink of financial disaster.

Yeah there's plenty of blame...and yeah...anyone with a hand in it should be fired....and any public employee who knew and hid it from the people should be jailed. That includes as high up the food chain it goes in city, state or federal government.

OMG!! Employees and managers are sometimes devious and betray their clients and stakeholders? Well I guess that's news to anyone who has never heard of Volkswagen. Or Goldman Sachs. Or Blackwater. Or the Roman Catholic Church. And on, and on, and on.

But anyone who implies that dishonesty is primarily a problem with government workers is genuinely dishonest.

Oh and feel free to point out that the governor's appointee is a black Democrat. You would probably think it would be pertinent to point out if he were a transgender vegan Wiccan I suppose. But he lied when he said that the city council voted for his plan, you were ignorant when you repeated his lie, and when you repeated it again after his claim was discredited, you were just dishonest. You know, like the dishonest people who sometimes work in both private industry and the government.

Well you might as well add to that the hypocritical dishonest lying political hacks who always blame the other political party for any crisis...while ignoring the ineptitude and dishonesty of the bureaucrats and their own party members whose poor decisions contributed to the problem. We see that going on in Washington DC every day. What a shock.

Of course no one implied that 'dishonesty is primarily a problem with government workers', but it's a nice straw man for you. The real implication was that ineptitude and dishonesty of the scientific bureaucracy involved was a primary reason this crisis happened. The real implication was that the people of Flint were let down by the systemic failure of the institutions designed to protect them. That's a process failure...not a political one.

And as to whether or not the City Council actually agreed with the switch to Flint River Water months earlier as Earley claimed, these politicians (Including Democrat Mayor Dayne Walling, and "Numerous Elected and City Officials") were most definitely on hand for the ceremony marking the switch to the river water.

“It’s a historic moment for the city of Flint to return to its roots and use our own river as our drinking water supply.” said Democrat Walling.

Beforehand, officials raised glasses of water in celebration.

“Individuals shouldn’t notice any difference,” said Steve Busch, Lansing and Jackson district supervisor in the DEQ’s office of drinking water and municipal assistance.

“There have been a lot of questions from our customers because this is such a major change,” he said. “When the treated river water starts being pumped into the system, we move from plan to reality. The water quality speaks for itself.” said Democrat Walling. Indeed it does.

If the democrat mayor and city council really objected to this switchover you'd think they'd be out in force at this ceremony protesting rather than toasting their fine accomplishment. But then that doesn't fit the partisan hack's narrative of the evil Republicans trying to poison the poor black people of Flint.

Closing the Valve on History.

You have absolutely no integrity whatsoever do you?

Obama: America's first Gay President?

"If William Jefferson Clinton was America's first "black" president, could it be that Barack Obama is positioning himself to be the nation's first "gay" president?

His supporters have argued vehemently for months that Barack Obama does not represent the interest of the radical homosexual activists. Chicago "South-side" radio talk show hosts declare with confidence that Senator Obama has said he would oppose the redefining of marriage to include unions that only the imagination could cook up. Obama has blindsided black clergy across America with the con-game that they should not worry about his views on homosexuality.

Oh my god! Alan equates politicians attending ribbon cutting ceremonies for a new water system to approval of drinking from the Flint River. As I posted in the cited timeline, the elected officials in Flint asked the EM to be placed back on Detroit water. He said no it cost too much. Documents came out yesterday that showed the Snyder Administration intentionally withheld testing results that showed the water had high levels lead from these same local officials that you are blaming.

This is the most heinous crime committed on American soil since 911. These guys deserved to be Federally charged for their crimes and given the Death Penalty. If poisoning 9,000 kids doesn't get you the death penalty, nothing else should.

Alan probably thinks occupied France was independent of Nazi Germany because the Nazis included a few French people in the management.

Yeah, politicians do things like that. Like when Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, and over a hundred over Congressional Republicans, took credit for federal infrastructure projects that were paid for with Obama's stimulus bill. Does that mean that those Republicans should be held responsible for the infrastructure bill?

If you answer "yes" to that question you're an idiot. If you answer "no," then you're admitting that this point about the Flint mayor is pure dishonesty.

Eh...I already stated for the record that anyone involved with hiding this from the people should be jailed. That includes the Democrats, Republicans and Bureaucrats from the City of Flint, The State of Michigan and the Federal Government. What about the EPA officials who knew about this for months and raised no warning to the people of Flint? Sounds like you're only interested in lynching the Republicans. I say hang 'em all...

Oh..and as to this being 'the most heinous crime committed on American soil since 911 you're wrong on that too. From 2001 - 2004 Washington DC had a similar problem with lead from pipes leaching into the water supply. In that case it was due to a switch to a different chlorine derivative by the Washington Water and Sewer Authority. I'm sure you'll just blame George W. Bush for that...because that's what you do.

Like the Flint crisis, bureaucrats at the government organizations designed to protect us failed miserably. This included the CDC knowingly using flawed data in drafting a report on the impact of the lead poisoning, leading to "scientifically indefensible claims". The EPA also played a role in this tragedy. But of course no one was fired, no one was charged.
