My 2013 WSOP Trip Report: Day 8, Wednesday June 19:A Bromance to Remember.

Best trip reports i've read in a while. Regarding your friend Sean..............opposites due indeed attract. Sounds like you have a great friend there, hang on to him.

You made my day, not by loosing, but by telling it like it is,I limit my looses to around $5000,95% of people can't admit they loose, but like you I get air, room, shuttle, food, cash,& shows, that eases the pain.

Yeah, aside from those few hits on day 2 that I posted, there weren't any good payouts. Come to think of it, I can't remember even seeing anyone in any of the casinos waiting for a handpay or winning a jackpot of any kind.

Thanks for reading!

Great trip report. Not sure when you had time to write it since you were so busy. Thanks for sharing.

After the two us were tapped out (~ Tuesday-ish) I started typing everything up.

Thanks for reading and commenting!

Very entertaining and interesting. I enjoyed it. Good luck to you in your future gambling endeavors.
Thank you soooo much for the Trip Report!
The many details made me feel like I was right there living it with you. You are really a good friend to your drinking buddy, and it seems he is the perfect willing companion (even if sodden) to experience some fun things in LV. The "spanking/clobbering" thing probably wouldn't have happened without a beer or eight...and he seems good for that.
Thanks also for the great pics. I haven't stayed at MGM but get frequent offers, so now I'll consider it. BTW...did you get a glimpse of the pool and if so, what did you think?
I-Pads at WSOP? What's next?...a cyborg implant? I can't see how poker can maintain it's integrity with this technology (and more in the future) allowed. I will ruin the "game" part that we all love.
Kudos to your wife for putting up with your/his shenanigans.

Elle,
Thanks for reading and commenting! The MGM pool complex is very nice! Waterfalls, some shaded areas, several pools. I never went into the pool though. Neither did Sean. This will probably be the 20th time I've brought my bathing suit with me to Las Vegas and never used it...
What a fine trip report a2a3dseddie. I imagine that Sean will reference it often to fill in the blanks....You'll look back on this fun trip with smiles for years.
