My first $1 Royal

Congratulations!

The first one is the sweetest, the one you will always remember.

Great job, passing on the Flush to try for the Royal. I would have also.

4 to the Royal.... always go !
Even if you didn't get the RF,would you have posted it?
Good question.
I don't think that I would have.
We ALL applaud you on your decision !

Thumbs up.
Nice hit!

I've never hit a $1 royal, but I don't usually play $1 VP.

I have hit 10 royals playing quarters. They all have some special memories attached to them, but the first, the lowest paying, was also the most memorable.

My first royal was on a 3-coin max bet progressive machine at the Wild Card casino in Black Hawk, Colorado, February 15, 1998. That was easy to remember on many levels. Number one would be it was my first royal after playing the game for years. Number two would be it was a 3-coin max bet progressive machine. There were, and maybe still are, 3-coin max bet progressive JOB VP machines in some Black Hawk casinos. The royal progressive started at $600.00, and the max bet was 75 cents. The progressive on my machine when I hit the royal was $965.00. I liked playing at that level with still having the possibility of a pretty decent payout. Number three would be I was dealt a 4-to-the-royal club flush with an 8 instead of a jack. I asked the bartender what she would do, and she said she'd go for the royal. Okay! Number four would be the Daytona 500 was on TV behind the bar, and it was real close to the finish of the race. I discarded the 8, and I hit the deal button just as Dale Earnhardt crossed the finish line to win his first and only Daytona 500. Hello Jack of Clubs for the royal! I won my first royal at the same moment that Dale won the Daytona 500!

Bob,that was GREAT! 2/15/1998 was your losing your virginity into the ROYAL CLUB!
Daytona 500 for Dale, AND a royal?
I would have got a 3" boner,right then.

My virginity was lost in Reno,2001.
I was there with my Grandmother! Some hole-in-the-wall :Fitz?
Never will forget my first HAND PAY: $1,000.
No one will ever forget the screen that mine said: WOW! Flashing continously, dinger going NUTS!
That one was a 2 card draw.
Back when there were quarters involved.

That same night, there was a power black out earlier, and I'm glad I waited for the power to come back on to continue playing that machine.
Whoot-whoot!
Granny asked me,during the ding-ding's,"Is that good?"
Yeah,it is.Felt great!
"Let's go have dinner".

Mr. Willy, you will always cherish that first $1 royal.
Someday....
I'll never forget my first $ RF. I was at GVR and had decided to up my play to 50 cents and hit the royal after a short period of time. While I was waiting for the payout...feeling very good about myself...I moved to the adjoining machine and decided...what the hell...to play dollars. You guessed it, I hit the Royal before the guy came back with my first royal's money. Kind of hard to forget that one. Since then, have been an almost exclusive $ player...and that was alot of royals ago.
Nice Story Capt'n

Thanks for Sharing.

Rick
