My friend passed away in Vegas

My friend was on vacation in Vegas. They were going to be there for a week. They were going to come home last night. My friend had a heart attack Monday night- Tuesday morning while my other friend was dowstairs. He came up a few hours later and found him in the room.

They had called me several times and told me how much fun they were having and how they wish I could have come with them. I'm glad that he got to go and happy that he had such a good time before he died.

Now, this is where I get to eat my words about all the bad things I've said about Harrah's. He was there on my friends dime at the Flamingo. My other friend plays fast and hard and gets a lot of stuff sent to him all the time from every casino he's ever been to. When he finally came up to the room and found him , he called downstairs and security and the cops showed up. They kept him out of the room for about four hours while the did their work.

When that was all finished, the head of hotel services moved him up to a suite for the last few hours of his stay. He said he's never seen so much pink and white in his entire life. They asked him if he wanted to find out if an earlier flight was available to come back home sooner and if there was, they would arrange it. He wound up coming home on his regular flight. When it was time for him to go to the airport, the hotel person told him that all his charges to the room would be comped and they gave him a limo ride to the airport. To me this was very, very classy. He was a mess last night when he got to the place we had gathered, so in a few days, I will call the person that took care of all this at the Flamingo and personally thank them. I will post their name if they will let me.

This was a very nice thing that the Flamingo staff did and I just wanted to let you know about it.

So sorry to hear about your friend, Ray. I'm not surprised about Harrahs, though. They've always had excellent customer service at their properties.
Sorry to hear about the passing of your friend. I agree, that was classy of the folks at the Flamingo to do what they could to make things easier on your other friend.
Yes a very classy thing thing indeed. My condolences to you and your friend. I am a Downtown regular, but am thinking of doing a couple nights on my next trip at the big pink bird. I dont know why I feel drawn to it, but I am. Again, sorry for your loss- Hopefully the friend is partying it up with Elvis or maybe even Bugsy!!

So very sorry about your friend, Ray.
