My Iowa Boat About To Be City-Owned?

WTF???

Not sure if this is good thing or a bad thing for the consumer. Under Isle of Capri, Rhythm City has always had very favorable video poker, while its sister property a few miles upriver has always been a real clip joint. A little leery on what direction the city is liable to take.

Anyone had any experience with this type of transition?
I have gambled there before. It is a nice casino.I hope the city doesn't screw it up.
have been to both, don't remember which one is in DAVENPORT or BETTENDORF.
Rhythm City is in Davenport; Isle of Capri is in Bettendorf. Both are Isle of Capri properties.

Bettendorf is just east of Davenport. The Mississippi flows east to west through the Quad Cities, with Iowa north of Illinois.

I'm a little leery of city ownership. Am guessing that with all the tax revenue they are getting from the casino, they must think that the total revenue would be a real bonanza. But of course they also need to know what they are doing. Hopefully they will retain as many employees and managers as possible, and just be the owners.

NYC used to run off track betting parlors. It lost money and went out of business.
Man you really have to be doing something wrong for a casino to lose money......
Remember when the US Government took over the Nevada Brothel (Mustang Ranch) a few years ago?

Didn't take them long to screw-up that operation and close the doors.
