Also, I called Anthem BCBS, I asked why are the premiums going up so much, she said the benefits are better and I said well, lets go over this. Out of 20 benefits 18 are the same and 2 are worse ( I went through them one by one with her)., She was speechless!!!!!!!

Did you look on your exchange for a better plan? Or were you content to listen to the salesrep at BCBS? Many people have been burned by doing the latter.

PJ I have looked on the exchange for a better plan and in both years now the only plans offered were by Anthem Screw Cross. One choice in a "marketplace" for two years now any way you spin it that is a failure.

Which brings us back to the primary failure of Obamacare the reliance on private for profit insurance companies. There are simply a lot of markets that for profit insurance companies don't want to be in and never will because there is no profit or not enough profit in it. A rural county in Indiana with no hospital is such a place. There will never be a viable marketplace here because there isn't enough volume and the cost of care is high because of the distance from treatment.

We have the Ohio Valley Health Plan the premiums went up and the benefits are less. Most stayed the same and the ones that changed are less coverage and higher co/pays. We had plan #3 and they discontinued it and now they offer only two plans and it costs more for less. AS OBAMA SAID 'MY FELLOW AMERICANS IF YOU LIKE YOU DOCTOR YOU CAN KEEP YOUR DOCTOR" "IF YOU LIKE YOUR INSURANCE COMPNAY YOU CAN KEEP YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY." WOW!!!!!! Now that the GOP has taken the majority let's see if all the promises they made are kept or just until they got into office. One thing for sure a lame ass government for the next 2 years and then a 6 month start up follows that.

You can not look at the choices yet, until November 15 or 16th, you have one month to decide. But my buddy has WPS a different company and his premium went up 40 %. They only tell you about your company.

Girl went over all plans offered (2) and explained the things that were not included and increases from our previous plan. We switched over to plan #2 yesterday... it takes effect 12/7/14. The only thing needed was our signatures and everything was set-up. We were satisfied with plan #3 and it is almost a carbon copy of #2 now. As I said increases in co/pays is the about the only concern. Scripts increased as well on certain drugs (expected this). Max OOP was $3500 is now $6700 for hospital stays of 12 days, after that no problem. I can say I doubt it very much that a hospital keeps you 12 days or more. Yes there will be exceptions in every case and that is expected as well. Actually buying healthcare insurance today is like buying any other insurance you never know how good it is until you have to use it.
