I assume that is why it was removed...just like all political threads on this web site...they always end up with lots of name calling.
Personally, if I felt so strongly about arguing politics with morons...I would go to a political message board, where those types of bickering and name calling are fully allowed.

Free For All would lead one to believe that the forum is open for discussions that aren't specific to a particular subject. And it isn't. To an extent.
When I meet friends in Las Vegas, while ponied up to a video poker bar our discussions run the full spectrum of common interests. We talk about gaming, computers, football, racing and (gasp!) politics.
There are threads here devoted to subjects that have nothing to do with Vegas because Vegas is not the only common interest we have. Should inquiries about what is the best tablet to buy be told to take those conversations to a computer forum? Should discussions about football be redirected to football-only forums? I'm a participant in a NASCAR fantasy league that you set up for members of this forum. It has nothing to do with Vegas. I sure don't think discussions about this and participation in it should be redirected to a NASCAR only forum because I think we all like to interact with people who have more than one common interest. I view politics as a similar common interest, but politics affect us all, unlike computers, football or NASCAR.
It's usually pretty easy to tell if a topic is political from its title. If you don't want to see it, don't click on it!
Maybe you just don't see the big picture. I will see if I can clear it up for you.

Political threads on this site, bring out the worst in people, and you guys just can't help it. Those threads immediatley resort to name calling, blaming this side, the other side...it can go on and on and on.
When you refer to the Nascar Fantasy league thread, or the "best tablet" to buy thread...why don't you go read those threads, and see if you can find some "never ending" bickering or name calling, or any other type of offensive comments from one side or another, that would cause a person to get offended, and subsequently use the "report to moderator" button.
You won't find it on those threads because they don't argue in those type threads.
Do you think that maybe this is the reason why these Non-Vegas related threads get to stay!? Is it coming in clear for you now!?
I still don't understand why you wouldn't just go to a political message board to talk politics.
Why is it so important for you all to be allowed to talk politics on a Vegas message board!?
It just makes no sense!!
