My turn for emergency room

I've never called 911 in mylife, but today I had to. I developed a pain, a really really bad pain in my belly this morning. Couldn't get out of the bathroom, was really sick. I figured it would pass but it never did. By 1:30 this afternoon i was all hunched over in pain and gave in and called 911. Turns out a possible kidney stone, but the real major pain was a bladder spasm. One of the most painful things I've ever experienced(and that says A BUNCH,especially from me).
Anyway, I of course inquired tonight before we left about billing/charges and if insurance covered everything. Sure enough, everything is covered, ambulance all the way to the 2 percosets given just as we were leaving. I just thought I'd bring it up here instead of that other monster thread. If anyone is interested anyway.
Our carrier is care first/blue shield. I have to say they've been pretty good about paying everything as I dont think we've had to pay anything, and my hospital/medical/prescription bills have been and are pretty substantial. There is a $2500 deductible at beginning of the year, but melissas boss funds that on a debit card at the beginning of the year, so we dont even pay that.
Anyway,I'm extremely happy with the health care I've received. I would be dead, literally, without it.

JOHN
Wow glad your ok John! You never know when you might need hospital care. No one is superman thats for sure! How long were you at the hospital for? I never had kidney stones thank god!
Glad to know you are ok. I know how painful kidney stones are.
DonDiego awoke this morning with a hangnail. But he suspects he'll get no sympathy whatsoever now.

Im glad youre OK, and that's what is most important.

My insuance also covered everything... even the emergency room doctor who was paid a couple of hundred by my insurance company which my insurance company considered necessary and normal charges. Its the other 12-hundred that they didnt cover.

Im glad your insurance is covering everything. My insurance also covered my $700-thou kidney and pancreas transplant, the hospital and the doctors. My out of pocket expense was only one hundred dollars ($100).

Its the emergency room doctor from my one hour stay in the emergency room before being transferred to a hospital room for the night that is the issue with me, including $64 for looking at my pulse... which was taken by a hospital nurse.
Had a kidney stone about 2 years ago. Worst pain I had ever felt in my life. Had tremendous pain shooting from my kidney to my wang. I was literally on the floor in the fetal position crying like a baby. I was admitted in the hospital only for a day. They pumped me full of morphine and it felt damn good.

Hope you get better.
Glad you're okay John.

From everything I've ever heard about kidney stones, having them is a very painful experience.

Rick
Did you pass it yet? Mine finally passed at 8:30 this morning. From start to end it was 3 1/2 days of never knowing when it was going to move again and put me back on my back.
At least your ok John.
