MyVEGAS game 90 days in.

The Facebook Group MyVegas Friends and Deals is closing....

This is a quote from their page.

MVFD Members,

We have received word on behalf of the myVegas legal department. We were basically given two options if we wanted to continue the group, however we found the 2 options to be partial and unfair. As such we have decided to close the MyVegas Friends and Deal Fan group. We think it is best if we move on and away from anything to do with myVegas. As such you are free to join our Vegas Rover 24/7 chat and informational group. As of January 31st we will be completely shutting down the MVFD group. The meet will now be handled in the Vegas Rover group and will continue as planned. At this time we will be locking down all new threads but you may still comment in existing threads. Any future questions or comments moving forward about the myVegas game please direct them to the myVegas Facebook application page. It's unfortunate Playstudios did not appreciate the free help.
We hope that you will continue chatting with us in Vegas Rover.
Warm Regards,
John and Brad

Thank you for the links to the group. I am brand new to facebook and myvegas and do not fully understand how this works. I have added myself to the group but I dont actually have any friends. Do I have to add people to my friends list or is it enough just to like the group? Looked for the FAQ but couldnt find it.

Also should I choose to share when playing myvegas and whenever given the options?

Im clueless clearly. Thank for your help!

Yes and Yes. Add friends because you can gift them chips and they will gift you chips. Do not add too many friends at the same time because some will report you and you can not add friends for a week.

Share when asked because you will receive chips ( small amount) for shares. When someone shares a bonus with you you can collect more chips, upto 50,000 per day.
Anyone who has redeemed awards for upcoming trips please be sure to check the new MyVegas redemption rules. They changed a couple of days ago and limits the number of awards that can be used on any given trip. There are some grandfathering factors and time restraints so be sure to check so you don't get to Vegas and have any surprises.
As Blonde4ever stated, Brad's group has sadly folded. Last night all members were removed from the group and then site was removed. That means no more chip shares, etc. through it - very unfortunate for anyone who had been able to participate and build up their Loyalty points through the group. Hopefully there will be a solution to the issue at some point that can satisfy both sides and allow the group to start up again. Thanks to Brad (and all the others who were keeping the site going) for creating a good way for players to build up their counts - it was great while it lasted!

I knew if I started putting some time in this game, it somehow wasn't going to pay off. Everybody can blame me for starting to play, I musta jinxed it. Sorry

There is another group that is still sharing chips as of today- " Myvegas Friends "
If you join that group you can still chip share (at least for now). I joined yesterday and have collected chips the last two days.
Thanks for that info! I had been pointed in that direction earlier today by another player and had already joined. Just feeling out the new site now, and so far it seems good.
There are many groups available that help users collect their daily quota of chips but the game is promising more changes to come later this week (January 24th?). The scary part is the "grabs the free chips" part of the statement.

" As a side note, using a feed collector (or other automation software) violates our terms and conditions -- if we detect it, the player is likely to lose their ability to purchase rewards.
It's one of the reasons we're going to be changing the way that feeds work this week (probably on Thursday).
So if you grabs the free chips now while they last!"

Not too sure about the meaning of the last statement. The Game definitely needs a public relations person to better communicate with the the players.
No issues there for me utwofan. I don't use any automated program to collect chips - it takes me, at most, 20 minutes over the course of a day to collect the current 50,000 maximum by clicking on chip share links individually on the fan site. As far as the ability to purchase rewards goes - you purchase them with the Loyalty points you've earned. Your comment does somewhat confuse me - If you "wouldn't buy anyway" why would you play this game at all? There are many more interesting slot games available throughout Facebook than those offered on MyVegas, if you don't plan to redeem Loyalty points for rewards? To me, the ability to purchase the rewards with the points I've earned is the best reason to play the somewhat boring games offered! As far as coming changes, I'll just roll with them. It's still free stuff for me to enjoy when I visit Vegas, and I LOVE free!
You are correct, I was confused reading it also. I meant to say I wouldn't purchase "chips" not rewards. Fingers typing faster than the brain and not proofreading.

They are also comtemplating eliminating the 3 reward redemption per trip for those players who actaully purchase "chips" to play the game.

Per the latest information I have read they plan on reducing the current cap on number of chips that can be collected from the chip feeds to less than the current 50,000. They most definitely want to slow down the amount of free stuff they are giving away.

In the past 8-10 days I have seen a big drop in the payouts from the games which further reduces the opportunity to earn my LPs for rewards.

I have redeemed rewards with my LPs and will continue to do so as the game evolves. After redeeming 150,000 LP's I have another 150,000 ready to spend so no complaints from me. It is going to be more difficult for the new players than it was when I started several months ago. Wife has also redeemed 100,000 and currently has another 50,000 ready to spend.
