I redeemed points once for a Cirque show and then when I called to book it there were none of the special priced seats available so they refunded my MyVegas coins. That was when My Vegas was pretty new but old enough to not get the awesome comps that the first redeemers got.

I was hoping to use some of my coins to get free slot play for my upcoming trip. Does anyone know if I am staying in a Signature Suite room NOT booked through the hotel (VRBO), does that still count as a three night stay on an MGM property?

That's a good question. I've used points for free play. You get the free play loaded onto your players club card at the players club. I was able to get $25 in free play for staying 2 nights at the Excal, even though the nights weren't consecutive - I stayed there Wednesday and Sunday, and they let me count that as 2 nights during one visit. I'd try contacting the players club with your question since that's where you go to get the reward.

As long as you are staying at a MGM resort you will be fine, we booked through a 3rd party last year and were still able to redeem. At the M Life desk they asked us for our last name and hotel, it showed we were registered guests and off we went with our reward.

night stays - doesn't matter where / how you booked them, as long as you're physically staying at an MGM property.
