Nancy Pelosi on gasoline taxes

Pelosi's comment on gasoline...................“If there’s ever going to be an opportunity to raise the gas tax, the time when gas prices are so low—oil prices are so low—is the time to do it,” she explained.

Typical Liberalism. "How can we get more money for government?"

Somebody has to pay for the Republican's lavish spending. They are wanting to shower large corporations with an opulent tax cut. All signs point to a gas tax hike funding it. Ms. Pelosi was just signaling her willingness to go along with with the Republican giveaway.

Drink up!

Somebody has to pay for all of the welfare freeloaders and illegal aliens. Also another way to fund Obeymecare subsidies to those who don't and won't work and pay their fair share of taxes.

No new legislation is getting passed without the blessing of the GOP run Congress is it? Boilerman, you are going to have to learn how to get out of the peanut gallery with your leadership in Congress.

With power comes responsibility which means the Weeper of the house is going to have to stop crying about Obama and start putting fourth solutions to problems. Right now we have a big problem with 3/4 of our nations bridges in disrepair....and we're paying for them with flat (inflation unadjusted) revenues from 1993. In fact, its worse because vehicles get much better gas mileage now which means there is less gas tax collected per consumer.

When the question is put to leaders in Congress as to how to pay I think you are going to find a gas tax increase to be a popular suggestion from both sides of the aisle.

A true group of leaders would balance the budget with spending cuts. Increasing taxes is the cowards way out.
"3/4 of our nations bridges in disrepair"

Once again your stats are wrong
Many states, if not most states, spend the majority of their gasoline tax revenue on things other than roads and bridges. As of 2007, 40% of federal gasoline tax revenue was spent on stuff other than roads and bridges. I suspect that today that number is even larger.

We've pissed away a bunch of this tax money and politicians want more? It's always more.

Cut spending.

Another drink for everybody!

Liberals, like Melon, use funny pictures and jokes when they have nothing to add. They yell and talk over people when they have nothing to add. They attempt censorship when they have nothing to add.

Is this all you have, Melon? Oh, I will be meeting friends at 4pm today for drinks.
